Portal 2.WHERE IS IT?!

We're talking about Valve, right?

Remember:

Half-Life: delayed several monthes.
Half-Life 2: delayed for three years, got hacked then delayed an additional year.

Valve pump out maybe one game a year. I must say, I was angry when they spoke of Left 4 Dead (though I still enjoyed it), and was even more when they immediately produced Left 4 Dead 2. I want Portal 2 and Episode 3 as mush as anyone, but Valve made a mistake with Left 4 Dead 2.

There is no need for a sequel to portal. As good as it was, that magic "it" factor that it has could not be re-created. Any attempt would feel (fanboyism aside) very forced imo.

So true, I doubt there even will be a Portal 2.

However, Half-Life 2's "it" factor was the physics engine, and Valve milked that for all it was worth... I mean, I love the game with a fiery passion, but when you're doing some physics puzzle to get past every little obstacle, I think it got old. Especially after it continued in Episodes 1 and 2. I still think that having a Portal 2 would be pretty damn good, even if it was repetitive...

Valve are very very slow. But they usually release quality. We will see HL2EP3 and Portal 2 in about... oh about 3 years or so.

I have one thing to say.
Valve takes it sweet time with games because it crank PURE AWESOME OUT!Not halfassed sequels to cash in.
TF2 took forever,but after 4ish years its still moving.
HL2 is still the top of the list
Counter-Strike.Enough said.
L4D is one of those games i'm not entirley sure was all valve,but its still good,but the only game that feels like it was Fanboyish.

Probably in the same place as Episode 3! Not sure if I want a Portal 2, it would be near impossible to make another with the same impact and charm as the first, and I seriously don't think they could top the song at the end!

Anyway,Portal 2 has been confirmed for some time now,with different sources saying its a prequel and a direct sequel(Just look up wikipedia,of course -_-).
So any ideas when it might come out?Prequel or sequel?

Portal was good enough to stand by its self I see no need for a "Portal 2"

Portal 2 is deep within the Valve Fun Factory, being polished to mirror perfection and possibly being torn apart, scrapped, and completely redone until it can meet Valve's rigorous standards. It will come out. When it will come out is anybody's guess, but it will be done eventually. And it will be awesome. But don't pitch your tent yet, because it may be quite a wait.
