The cake is a lie.
The cake, therefore, exists.

Though arguably this is purely within the world of the lexicon. The word and the concept exist, so I put it to you that the cake, like god, exists purely within the minds of those who believe in it.

Also, for an aside, If the cake is god, why does it allow suffering?

I object to that, I had a girlfriend for 2 years. The fact we broke up a few months ago doesn't matter.

I'll play along though... does calling something a lie give it substance so that it might exist? The lie exists, the object of the lie exists in the persons mind, so yes the cake does exist but not in a physical sense, more the idea of the cake exists. In Portal I would have thought the freedom at the end is the cake, in the sense the cake existed only in the persons mind and hence freedom was the cake.

So you could argue that nothing actually exsists. The object exsists. But the name doesnt. Therefore neither the cake nor the lies exsist. Henceforeth God doesnt exsist as that is the noun we have used to tag the non entity.

Perception defines reality, so if we percieve a cake, than it must exist. Even purely as a figment of the imagination, it must exist somewhere for us to imagine it. Indeed, in the modern age of politics and economics, do lies in fact define reality more frequently and more accurately than the truth. Perhaps the truth of cake would be less pure than the lie, as a lie is just a concept, and cannot be tainted in anyway. Reality will always be imperfect.
