Well, you have to take the fact into account that pretty much all Scandinavians live pretty far up north. Which means that they experience some pretty dark parts of the year (some years there are some seriously cloudy autumns and winters to go with the short time the sun actually bother to stay in the sky). Little suntime = pale skintone.Dags90 said:Wow. Are most Finns similarly pale? For some reason in the U.S. the conception of Scandinavians and such is as tall, statuesque, and fairly bronzed blonds.
The only time you see people with really tanned skin is during the hottest months of the summer. The rest of the year people tend to revert to a more pale skintone unless they use some kind of fake tan or visit tanning salons that is.
Also the view that pretty much everyone is blonde in Scandinavia is pretty exaggerated. In fact, most bright blondes you tend to stumble across have bleached hair and aren't natural blondes (or they have a pretty dark or greyish shade of blonde).
Oh and I might point out another thing while im at it. There's a reason why Swedish glamour models are in the modelling business. And it's NOT because they look like the more normal Scandinavians. Women aren't more physically attractive over here than they are in any other part of the world. Though this would hardly come off as surprising to most level-headed people.
