Masters of Magic (if only it ran in Windows)
Master of Magic? Dosbox my boy [http://www.dosbox.com/]. Download, run, type

mount c c:\dos\mom (whereever the mom files are)
c:\
magic

Then go win.

OT: I just repurchased SWOTL on Ebay, just so I could have it again. My first CGW was the SWOTL preview so having the box is a double whammy for me.

Fallout 3
Fallout New Vegas
Mafia 2
CoD: BO
Red Dead
AC series
The Elder Scrolls

They are the games I love. They all do what I expect them to do right. There may be bugs in F:NV but they haven't affected me so I don't care.

EverQuest and World of Warcraft.

I stopped caring about single player games and movies when I first played EQ. For me, dealing with real people in non-violent ways (even if the internetized version of a human is quite literally sad.. see any webcomic), I much prefer it because when its good, its damn good.

I still play Single player games as time wasters occasionally, but ultimately I haven't really had fun with one for many years now. Almost every game that was supposed to change gaming has been nothing but the same old thing, with a pretty graphics overhaul.

This generation has lost a lot of quality AND quantity in games, for the sake of art. Graphics and having a super cool multithousand dollar computer are more important than sitting down and having a good time. Well, I find that sad and unfortunate.

Thanks for the advice but unfortunately DosBox doesn't support it either. Least not yet.

Demons Souls
i bought the game on a whim and im so happy i did. it has a good amount of challenge to it and when you get in a fight with a black phantom that invaded your game it gets intense.

Metro: 2033 and Mass Effect 2. I'd never sell those games under any circumstance, they're my favorite games that I own.

I absolutely LOVE Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, it was one of my first ps1 games and I have to congratulate it for being so wonderful with variation and origionality, but it also did scare the crap out of me, even though I'm sure the game wasn't trying to be scary.
I also agree about Shadow of the Colosus
Abe's Odyssee was amazing. I have a lot of fond memories of that game especially using mind control and controlling enemies.
Have you tried Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus? It's as good as the first with the addition of a quicksave.

Other games I adore:
Okami
Shadow of the Colossus
Sky Odyssey
Flatout 2
World of Goo
Flower
Pixeljunk Shooter

I recommend these to everyone

Mega Man Zero Collection - This game is pure awesomeness. Brutal challenge, kickass bosses, awesome level design, awesome weapons and abilities, smooth controls. The game has a ton of replay value, not just because of stuff like unlockable minigames that require you to do things like beat the game only using one weapon, but because the games themselves are far too awesome to get bored of in a few playthroughs. I love the emphasis on boss battles that really test your reflexes and your ability to anticipate the boss's next move. 2D gaming at its finest.

Contra 4 - This game is unbelievably badass. I like the game's endurance style playthroughs "beat the game from start to finish without losing all your continues." It's a nice change of pace from Mega Man's "die as many times as you want, you won't have to go further back than the beginning of the level." Not to say that I don't like Mega Man's continue/lives system, though. It allows the game to be longer and have tougher boss fights.

Contra's boss fights are fun, but they pale in comparison to Mega Man Zero's. And what Contra-related post would be complete without a mention of the awesome weapons? A gun that shoots giant fireballs that explode into smaller fireballs on impact? The Holy Grail of Projectile Weaponry (a.k.a. the Spread Shot)? WIN.

Devil May Cry 3 - This is to 3D gaming what Mega Man Zero is to 2D gaming. Smokin' Sick Style at its finest. The thing I love about these games is that your character is ridiculously powerful, with a shitload of ways to dish out some good ol' justice, and yet the games STILL hand you your ass on a platter. Eventually, you improve upon your reflexes and judgment, you learn the enemies' patterns, and you overcome what was once an impossible challenge.

Starcraft 2 - I love the quick thinking that this game requires in a heated multiplayer match. 2v2 is orgasmically fun if you have a good friend to join up with. The new units and abilities are awesome. The campaign's upgrade system allows you to play the game in new and fun ways. The sight of my Broodlords raining their minions down upon a doomed Terran stronghold is such a cathartic experience.

I wonder how many times I'll say this...
Final Fantasy X. But I also love first Kingdom Hearts, and Metal Gear Solid 3 (best in the series), and Shadow of the Colossus.
