I only remember two, The Sopranos and Scrubs. I actually cried with one of those.
well in the case of scrubs it came back, became a sad shallow zombie of it's former self and then got quickly canceled... what a sad end for a truly great show. just ignore the 9th season and you can be happy.
Actually I think Season nine brought closure to the series. It was nice, unlike your punctuation.

Futurama hit me pretty hard. Along with Oz, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Samurai Jack, Doomsday Arcade and many more I can't remember right now. PSD sucks.

Toonami. It was a consistent part of my childhood. At the end of the school day, I'd quickly do all my homework so I could watch my favorite cartoons. Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Yu Yu Hakisho, Pokemon, Megas XLR, whatever; it was all good. Eventually they started showing new shows and I slowly lost interest. One day I walked through the living room and saw this:

Bang.
That made me tear up all over again. Thanks a lot

Season 9 was the season where half the main characters left, the hospital was converted into a medical school, and we got introduced to a weird new lead that felt like a mixture of JD and Elliot. And it's the internet, I have much better Punctuation than most.

Most recently I'd have to say Mass Effect 1 and 2. As for anime, probably Witch Hunter Robin. I finished it and felt satisfied with watching a cool show, but also craving more (same with wolf's rain, which was pretty cool).

The Wheel of Time series needs to have the next book come out already. I've spent the last two years reading the whole thing, and now I am stuck on the end of the most recent. Reeeleeaasee itt. D:

Yet.. At the same time, I don't want him to release it.. I don't want it to end. ;-;

I don't really get that feeling, whenever I get a 100% completion or finish a series I actually feel a sense of accomplishment. If they made more of it, it would probably be worse. Odd how people respond to things differently.

I can think of a few games that did that to me, Fallout 3, Kingdom Hearts 2, Mario Galaxy. That is all I can think of right now.

The Harry Potter series ( I re-read all the books just to make myself feel better... I can't imagine how much worse it's gonna be after the movies) .... also the end of Godchild (it's a manga for those that don't know) but that also could have been because the ending was depressing =/

Edit: Also the endings of both Buffy and Angel....

I felt this way after watching the final episode of Higurashi's first season, then I watched the second season and was very happy. and then the site I visit to watch anime would load the OVA so I felt really angry, but then miraculously it began working about a month later and now I feel like it ended in the best way it could have... And that is to say, with a joke arc.

Another one that gave me this was Rosario + vampire. Don't look at me like that, hell, I don't even know why but whatever, what's over is over, and it's not like I can't rewatch anything I want to anyway *goes to rewatch higurashi)

You say post-series depression, and there is only one anime that comes to mind.

Berserk.

It doesn't help that the entire anime was generally the "prequel" to the main story of the manga- but it is one of the few animes that inspired me to pick up the manga series just because I was so amazingly pissed at the ending. Most of the major plot points were left completely unresolved, and it was just... ugh.

I am dealing with my PSD for Scrubs by watching reruns several times a week on telly. Somehow, it just never gets old no matter how many times I've seen them.

The ending of season 4 Dexter, ended so amazingly well done that people are still talking about it. I can't wait for it to continue on here next month, been waiting so long to see the police's reaction and how Dexter handles the loss!

Though once I heard the news that the kid show "Avatar" was finished, I was extremely happy and didn't mind the Dexter ending anymore.
