Genre: Metal (or anything that someone could argue is as such)

Love: "Grace" by Lamb of God http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MkHwMwQSV4
-Beautiful intro and solid solo, with good aggressive drive throughout, all from one of my favorite modern metal bands.

Like: "Media Skeptic" by Municipal Waste http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgoPhk-HaUs
-I usually love these guys as well, but I threw one of their less-popular ones in here to kind give 'em a plug :p. At any rate it's a great modern splicing of hardcore punk and thrash metal

Hate: "Under And Over It" by Five Finger Death Punch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLk75fFXqH4
-I can't even hardly get past the music video for this one. I know it may be an ironic video, but I don't think that's what they were going for. They strike me as spoiled and they can get away with all of their songs sounding nearly identical imo.

Hmm...Pop is too easy. I think I'll go with rap.

Huh. That was pretty easy, too.

Lets see:

Genre: Metal:

Love:
Iron Maiden: The Number of the Beast

OK:
Iron Maiden: When the Wild Wind Blows

I actually like When the Wild Wind Blows over The number of the Beast. I just think The Number of the Beast is a little to exposed. IE it's a good song but you hear it to much.

On topic I am going to pick a different band because I am starting to sound like a broken record when it comes to this music stuff.

Genre: Metal

Love:

It's ok.

Hate (more don't care for)

Lets get some Black Metal in this thread!

Love: Noktunal Mortum - My Dream Islands

Ok: Burzum - Jeg Faller

Hate: Cradle of Filth - Forgive me Father (This is Shit)

I miss the days of Dusk... And Her Embrace instead of going after the hot topic goth kids with Nightmare Before Christmas Bags, Compare that song to the epicness of this...

Same band 14 years difference. Shame :(

(Same feelings with Dimmu Borgir to a lesser extent, Everything after Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia sucked major balls apart from Stormblast MMV which was a remake, difference is Dimmu Borgir still had kick ass songs such as Vredesbyrd off of Death Cult Armageddon and Dimmu Borgir off of Abrahadabra, In Sorte Diaboli has no redeeming factor though)

Grace is pretty much the only Lamb of God song I can stand nowadays, that is such a kick ass song.

Municipal Waste are awesome but I would never love a song by them, there isn't really much depth to their music, it's mainly just fun.

That last song has awful vocals, and a shite chorus but that main riff is quite awesome, good for a mosh pit.

No offense (everyone's own opinions and preferences and such) but I think you're the first person I've met who can stand, let alone loves that living semen stain known as Nicki Minaj.

Pah, you guys are so unoriginal.

Genre: Shoegaze

I love:

The chorus is such an adrenalin rush, I love it.

Okay:

Okay song, from a very good album. It's a very underrated band as well.

Hate:

bleh...so boring...

It was fucking hard to find a bad shoegaze song, very fucking hard. Even Ceremony has a few decent tunes.

I feel like I'm cheating by picking "alternative" since it covers so much, but here goes

I like it, but it plays to often and it's ruining it for me

My disdain for this band as as whole is almost disturbing. The male singer's voice annoys the shit out of me and they are just god awful live...

I'll do metalcore, it gets all the hate from the metulz crowd.
Every Time I Die are awesome in every way. I won't harp on because most people who do about music sound like pretentious wankbags (seriously, when people call something 'a fine example of the genre' I want to kill their children)
I do really like Killswitch, but some of their stuff is a bit average. Filler material inbetween the awesome stuff. Plus Howard's lyrics were crap.
Fuck this band. Fuck Oli Sykes and his dirty northern pie eating face, it makes shit noises.

Alright, I choose metal.

You know, I'm spending ages thinking of a metal song I despise. I can dismiss whole genres, but not think of a particular song within them. I can't stand metalcore and don't get on with black metal or most death metal. Oh, here we go:

Bad move, Metallica.

This is the one RHCP song that I actually hate. It just irritates me so much!
Me and my friends had a long (slightly drunken) conversation about how there is always one song on every chilis album that feels outta place, not necessarily bad, just outta place, before we went to see them last week. When we got to porcelain we all agreed that not only was it outta place but also awful. Since then I've seen at least five people bad mouth it online.
Seriously haven't ever met a person who even liked it.

I met one person who actually told me it was their favorite song.

I suspect it may have been an interesting idea that was poorly executed.

Could have been, but who are we to question the chilis.
