Ethan sat for a bit, they weren't tough but they weren't as easy as he had made it sound, he had an itching suspicion that if he hadn't had Greg's rifle, neither of them would have survived, or at the very least they wouldn't have gotten out with just cuts and bruises. And if they could get tougher the longer they're around, then people would be in real trouble if they showed up again.

Ethan looked at Corrine then back to the pair across the table. "From what I saw, no one else stopped to help. And if what you're saying is right, these things are a genuine threat, people are in trouble, and it could only get worse." Ethan sighed a deep sigh, preparing himself for his next statement.

"I want to help."

After a moment, Corrine nodded. "Count me in, I can't just sit back and watch, knowing what's going on..."

Luke took the bus to his apartment, which took about 20 minutes total. The building was ten stories tall, with Luke's being on the top floor. He had an excellent view of the Sunset from his home, however, depending on what mood he was in, he would either enjoy it, remark at how lovely it is, scorn it, or come up with a way to snidely insult it.

Luke dug his key out of his jeans pocket. He inserted it into the lock, turning it clockwise, the lock clicked as the bolt was drawn back. He twisted the knob and entered.

The apartment was a mess, Clothes littered the floor, pizza boxes sat open on the sagging sofa in the center of the room, along with an Toshiba Laptop. It was a piece of crap, but it got the job done, plus, its wireless capabilities allowed him to bootleg off of the neighbors' wireless router. The rest of the apartment consisted of a Bathroom, kitchen, and a bedroom, all equally as messy as the front room.

Luke shut the door and plopped down on the couch, sending the pizza box and all its contents sprawling across the floor. Luke set the laptop on his knee and opened it up, clicked on Mozilla Firefox.

"Seeing as i have no other pressing duties at the moment, lets look at some por-ACK!" Jake muttered to himself as a headache swept through his body. The pain subsided and Luke looked in shock at the URL that he was about to enter.

"My god, what was I thinking? I'm better than this. Lets check on the Gaming world." Luke sighed as he punched in the URL for his favorite gaming news site. He skimmed through the topics, however he found nothing of interest. So, he jumped into the forums to see what was new in the rest of the world. It was here that he did find something interesting.

"What!?" Luke exclaimed as his eyes sifted through the images, each of them portraying the kidnaping of someone by those weird creatures that he had fought earlier today.

"This isn't good, it looks like if that other guy weren't there to fight with me, they would have taken me and the girl too.

Jason's words echoed through Luke's mind. "Those were wyrmlings. Don't worry though, my friends and I will take care of them."

Luke scrolled down to the Reply box and typed a response in. "Those things aren't LARPers, they are monsters, If you see one, don't try and fight them, turn tail and run like hell. I myself had a skirmish with a few of them and barely escaped alive." Luke clicked the Post button and watched as his post appeared below the original one.

He doubted that he would be taken seriously, people on this site were more likely to call him out on trolling than believe him.

"Well, nothing left to do now..." Luke muttered as he looked around his apartment. Looking at all of the filth that had collected on the floors from months of neglect. "Holy shit, if I'm going to date that girl Natalie, this place is gonna need a steam cleaning!" Luke exclaimed as he got up off the couch and began to clean up his apartment for the first time in three months...

Greg chuckled a bit, remembering when he had been asked a very similar question, and had given a very similar answer. He sat for a bit, thinking about the next step and watching the two sit awkwardly, after their grand statements.

He turned to Lynne, "I guess the only thing left is take them to see the boss."

Hermann Park -

His phone against his ear, David continued to listen as the woman on the other end answered his question. "I was near Texas Children's when I found this phone."

"A hospital?" David thought. "That's not good." Speaking into the phone, he tried to hide his worry. "Are you busy, or need to go somewhere?"

"No. I can wait. I just don't know about staying very long." Her tone was one of someone who was uneasy around medical buildings.

"OK. I'm just north of you right now, so I'll get there ASAP. Look for someone wearing a black DC Comics T-shirt with a black bowl cut in about twenty minutes."

"Alright. I will."

"Thanks." As the woman hung up, David took his morpher and depressed the button on the face to contact everyone else, even Phil if he was able to hear him. "Guys, Phil lost his phone near Texas Children's Hospital. If you can, meet me there so we can discuss what to do next. I'm on my way there now." Cliping his morpher back on his belt, he started walking, hoping everyone had heard him and was able to get to him.

Fireside Comics -

As the time hit 3:35 p.m., the store was still relatively quiet, outside of a few customers. With just under half an hour to go before he was relieved of his shift for the day, Alex slipped away to the back room to check their stock and check on the thread he had opened in one of his most frequented sites.

Unlocking the laptop from it's screensaver, the screen returned to his background, containing one of his favorite videogame characters. His copy of IE was still open and running, but nothing seemed to have changed in the forums. Pressing the F5 key on his system, he hoped to see someone reply to the thread concerning the Wyrmlings.

The result was more than he expected. Within the prior 12 minutes, 18 people had responded, mostly tossing around comments relating to this just being a joke. Alex sighed as he scrolled through the thread. "Geez. Maybe this was a bad idea." It wasn't until he reached the end that he saw something that changed his mind.

All Hail Lelouch said:

Stunned that someone had responded who knew what these things were, Alex hastily scrawled out a reply to his post, quoting him to make sure he noticed.

Hoping it wouldn't be too long before he heard from this guy, he set his system back on stand-by, and crossed his fingers. If this guy was in Houston somewhere, maybe they could help each other out.

Hayate was in the middle of riding the taxi back towards his house. His eyes were closed for a while just to rest his eyes for a moment. Though it became interrupted when he felt something. He opened his eyes, his usual dark blue eyes suddenly somewhat glowed for a second, almost making his eyes seem a lighter shade of blue though the glow gave it an supernatural feel to it. He turned his head towards the direction of where he thought he felt it from. He tapped the hard plastic glass that was between him and the driver as he pointed.

"There's been a change in direction. Go that way for a bit."

The taxi driver tipped his head and Hayate sat down again as the car got off the highway and went into the streets heading in the direction where Hayate was pointing. It was only a short amount of time before he told the driver to stop at the nearest building. He got out, paid the driver and tipped him, then got his things.

This feeling...is it...

He began walking towards the place where he believed something bad would happen soon. Though why did this feeling he had was so bad in the first place. His eyes narrowed into a glare as he felt this was similiar to what he had experienced already. Now all he had to do was get to the place where he felt the strongest of this aura. Though it made him kinda regret getting out of the taxi early since the distance was pretty far off. But Hayate would do what he thought was right. He donned on his sunglasses and moved ahead, since his eyes somewhat glow everytime he gets closer to the source if he was lucky enough. Though the other reason was to avoid any unwanted attention by those who randomly saw his eyes, he remembered the reactions of others clearly as they would freak out thinking he was some kind of freak or something.

For now...I'll check it out...Though I doubt I'll need Arataka for anything yet or that, I hope...

He began walking towards the source, though unbeknowest to him, it was a hospital that would be his destination.

Luke finished scraping the clothes off of his floor and throwing the full black trash bags out of his window and into the convenient dumpster placed against the wall of the building right below Luke's window.

Luke plopped back down on the couch and popped open his Toshiba. Right where he left it, the Escapist was still pulled up with his reply sitting on the bottom of the page. He punched the F5 key which refreshed the page. Luke was taken aback by what he saw. The OP replied to him via quote and claimed to have fought them as well. Luke quickly typed up a reply.

"I fought them in a small park about three blocks West of Grayson Groceries where I work. If you and I have both encountered these enemies, then we should meet up. Shoot me a PM when you get the chance."

Luke clicked the post button and patiently awaited a reply...

While working on straightening one of the shelves that had been ransacked by a child a while earlier, Alex began wondering more about what had happened. Was this really as bad as David had told him? Aside from the fireballs, the Wyrmlings hadn't really put up much of an actual fight against him. "Were they only focused on David instead of me?"

Swallowing hard, he hoped that wasn't the case, and his thoughts drifted back to the thread from before. He still couldn't believe his earlier luck with that thread and the response from one of the users, but if these things had attacked more than one spot, like he had written, something had to be going on.

Looking over to the backroom, he again felt the urge to go back and check it for a new response. Shaking off the idea of this turning into a social network thing, he headed to the rear of the store. While the laptop loaded slightly slower this time, he was soon right back on the page and hit F5. As before, a new response was up from the prior User, following a post where another said, "No one's finding this funny."

All Hail Lelouch said:

Both amazed and worried at the same time, Alex went for the poster's profile to see if he could find some location info. It didn't take much searching to find out that he was living in Houston as well, and Alex set about making a message to him as fast as he was able to type.

"Lelouch, I saw your reply to me, so I am sending you this in response." Alex shook his head for a second, questioning why was he still being so professional. Then again, nothing significant had happened since the attack itself, so he could afford to relax. "I work at Fireside Comics, a mile east of Hermann Park in Houston where I encountered these things myself. I will be off work at 4:00 p.m., so if you want to meet me face to face, I can do so. Any place around or near Hermann works for me."

With a click of the 'Send' function, the cycle of IMs began once again.

Nick, after hearing Davids's message, immediatly head out of Subway and began to walk straight down to the hospital.

*Well, whatever is happening...* looking up at the sky as he's taking a pause *I hope Nathanel will be fine.* smiling up at the sky and continueing down the sidewalk.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Nathanel grumbling to himself about the incident down over at the park. He continues down the sidewalk down to the Library but sees a Comic store. He stops and walks down to see the name of the store.

"Fireside Comics..." pausing to look inside though the window. Grunting he decides to head inside the store.

Greg heard the message from David, and turned to the two non-rangers across the table. "Well, looks like we've got to go. Tell you what, here's my number, send me a text with your names, so I know what to call, then I'll get in touch with you when I've got news."

Greg scrawled his number twice on a napkin, then tore it apart and handed the phone numbers to the pair. Then he and Lynne got up and walked out of the restaurant, heading for the children's hospital.

Ethan grabbed both slips of paper and wrote his number on one of them, "You know, just in case", he said as he handed it over to Corrinne.

Corrine took the slip of paper and put it in her pocket, for later.

"So, what now?" She asked. Corrine wondered if Diana ad her other co-workers were worried about her. What if one of them had been attacked?

"Listen," she said, standing up quickly, "I have to go check if my workplace was attacked or not. I guess I'll contact you if I find out anything new. Sound good?"

- Five Minutes Ago -

Walking away with the crowds with a newly founded smile on his face, Wrack found a location out of the public eye and began to chant. The air around him began to raise in temperature, and below him spawned a red circle in the concrete. As he continued focusing, his body began to shift from the bright sunlight of the city to a darker room elsewhere nearby. He could have walked, but the news of the capture of the Red Ranger was enough to make him will a shortcut instead.

The room he spawned in was lit only with a single overhead florescent tube, but the sound of the lightning strike was echoing off the walls as he appeared. Inside the room were two other beings; the Red Mythic Ranger Philip Savage, bound, gagged, and covered with scratches and bruises, and Marik, the one Wrack had been speaking to before.

[image width=400]http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/083/5/9/David_Grier__s_Ice_Demon_by_Duranial.png[/IMG]

With the face of a large canine on his body, a mix of light blue scaled skin spotted with crystal growths, an anthro build, and a serpentine tail, Marik was an imposing sight for any normal humans. Philip, however, just scowled at the image of the demon holding his head in it's massive, clawed hands.

"You do realize you have nowhere to go. Best wipe that look off your face, or..." He displayed his claws close to Phil's face. "I will remove it from you."

"Marik, why would you wrap his mouth?" Wrack asked.

Turning to face his friend, Marik took a second to respond. "I don't care for his language. Nothing but bile and rage from one so young."

"Let him rage, Marik. It won't free him."

Looking to his captive, Marik slipped one claw under the cloth of the mouth gag and cut it, glaring into Phil's eyes and his horn an inch from his face. "Be thankful, Ranger. If it was still up to me, I would have bound much more of you. Your nose, maybe."

"That's enough." Wrack said as he walked next to his friend. Growling, Marik looked away from Phil. "We have the leader, so we have the greater victory here."

"If this were still the 17th century, and it's not."

Wrack sighed. He was right, but if he wanted to blow off some rage, it was best to get the attention of the other Rangers. "Then, do us all a favor. Go into Houston, and find a way to contact all the Rangers at once. Let them know I have a deal for them."

In one of his clawed hands, Marik had Phil's morpher. The red/black construction of the metal and rubber was high quality, but as he had held it, he could still not grasp how they were able to summon their spirits. "Why not use the morpher? They'll all hear it anyway."

"No." Wrack said, making both Marik and Phil raise eyebrows. "If others were helping them, I want their attention also."

Phil's eyes widened and his pulse rose hearing that. People had been helping his team fight the Wyrmlings off? He closed his eyes and took a deep breath to try and calm himself. He had to believe they would not get swept up in this mess because of their actions.

"Guys," The sound of David's voice coming over his morpher made Phil's blood run cold. Even more so when he heard what came next. "Phil lost his phone near Texas Children's Hospital. If you can, meet me there so we can discuss what to do next. I'm on my way there now."

"Oh, God, no." Phil said aloud.

"Hmm." Wrack hummed as he walked over to Phil. "It seems we now have a location on your friends, or a general one."

"You...will not...stop us. Even with me down. Got it?" Phil snarled, his face breaking down into red with several raw emotions.

Wrack didn't reply. He had to seize this chance to remove the current team. Looking back to Marik, he mindspoke to him once again. "Go to that location, and wait. When they arrive, tell me."

With a nod, Marik took a step back and waved one clawed hand in front of him. The same red circle that had aided his friend appeared for him also, and as the lightning struck, his body vanished.

- Present Time -

Leaving the stock room to return to cashiering, Alex noticed another customer walking through the doors. This one, however, was far removed from his usual kind of customer as he was dressed in clothes that were meant for farm work.

"Hmm. Wonder what he's looking for?" Alex thought. Walking up to the guy, he noticed that he seemed to be a bit sullen about something, but chose not to pry. "Can I help you find something?"

"Pretty girl giving me a call, that's fine by me. Besides I've got to check in on my pals, in all likelihood, they're still passed out in the hotel room." Ethan took out a few bucks to pay for the drinks that both had had while they were talking, and walked out of the restaurant.

Corrine waved goodbye to Ethan as she left the restaurant, and the minute she rounded the corner, took off at a run towards the book store.

By the time she got there, she saw Diana was just leaving the store, and she looked up to see Corrine approaching, looking concerned.

"Corrine! There you are! I heard about the monsters attacking and thought you might be in trouble. I couldn't leave the store because the police was warning people to stay inside."

Corrine thought about telling her the truth about what happened, but decided against it. "I... saw something, but didn't stick around to find out, so I went to hide somewhere until it was over." she half-lied.

Diana nodded in understanding. "Well, you must have been terrified, so I think you should at least take the rest of the day off."

"But-"

"No, I insist." Diana said kindly.

Corrine just nodded, not wanting to argue. "Thanks... I guess I'll see you tomorrow then."

Hayate couldn't help the feeling that something was definitely wrong somehow in this city. The feeling from his sixth sense was growing stronger than before as he moved closer. It was nearly giving him a headache. It was suddenly a scream happened and some guy was running towards him. Though what happened next would surprise alot of people in the middle of the streets. The very moment he heard the word 'thief' he instantly grabbed a hold of the holder on his back and instantly struck at the guy running at him. He was calm and quiet about as he held out his hand and what seemed to drop into it was a purse.

"..."

He looked at the guy cringing from the pain from the shoulder Hayate had nearly broken with the force of his attack. Though what concerned Hayate the most was who the purse originally belonged to, he looked at bystanders who pointed him to a distraught woman who was nearly on the verge of tears. He walked over to her and handed her purse back to her.

"This is yours, I presume."

She instantly cluched the purse and thanked Hayate many times over and over. Her happy expression could be seen by everyone around. He waved to the woman as he shook off any mention of a reward. He went back to the guy who was still on the ground and looked around.

"Did someone call the police yet?"

Someone did fortunately and Hayate nodded.

"Would somebody please watch this man until the police arrive? I would myself but I have to get going somewhere, I have important business to deal with."

There were some men in the crowd who nodded as Hayate bowed in thanks as he left. He could hear a bit of clapping and some cheers but to him that was unnecessary, though he did wave back to the crowd saying he accepted the 'thanks.' Though in his mind, as long as justice would be served and the innocent were protected. That's all he cared about. Though he thought that bad feeling he had was over, however unfortunately for him, it was still as strong as ever. He continued walking towards where he thought the feeling would be originating. Though there were some things that had happened during the course of his actions just now. Some people had taken cellphones out and taken his picture and uploaded it onto Twitter to describe him as a 'mysterious hero' in Houston, almost as if saying that he had come out of a movie.

Rather than reply to the message, Luke decided to try and beat the clock, To see if he could make it to the Comic shop in less than fifteen minutes. Luke knew this city like the back of his hand. He slammed the computer shut and leaped off the couch. Hastily locking the door and closing it, he raced to the alternative Trash chute. He didn't use it because he was too lazy and since he hadn't missed the dumpster out side his window yet with his tosses.

Luke didn't hesitate to open the hatch and jump in. He slammed his hands and feet into the opposite walls and spider-walked his way down the chute until he reached the bottom. Upon doing so, Luke dropped the rest of the way and landed safely in the dumpster. He climbed out and dashed off in the direction of the bus stop. Luckily for Luke, the bus was just about to leave as he paid the fare and took his seat.

The comic shop Agent had mentioned was close to the fifth stop on his bus's route through the city every morning, getting from Lukes apartment to the Fifth stop would take him exactly Eleven minutes.

Luke shoved the other sheep aside and leaped off the bus and hit the ground running. Rounding the corner of the block, the shop's sign came into view. Luke quickly closed the distance across the parking lot and threw open the door.

A swift headache overtook Luke as he leaned against the display case on the counter containing miscellaneous dice and figurines while trying to catch his breath. The clock read 3:58 PM

"Alright *Pant* Which one of you *Pant* pencil necked geeks *pant* is Agent from the Escapist?" Luke panted, taking the roomful of acne-scarred nerds by surprise. "I beat your 15 minute bullshit waiting period, now who are you?"

As Mason walked with the unconscious civilian over his shoulder, he listened in to his teammates chatter away about Philip's absence and loss of his phone, Jason chiming in with a remark about women for some weird reason. Smiling under his helmet at his friend's odd sense of humor, he hoped nothing had truly happened to Philip. If these Wyrmlings were making such a massive assault on the city, something was certainly going on.

In the meantime, Mason knew where the closest hospital was. Texas Children's, just on the border of the park. However, as he continued to carry the civilian, he realized that he had no reason to wait for a normal route to the emergency room. He had his ranger powers, one of which he knew could help greatly shorten the travel time.

Sliding the civilian off his shoulder and lying him face up in the grass, Mason spoke to his spirit. "Yes. He needs help." the Pegasus replied. A second later, Mason felt the essence of his spirit move to his back. His shoulders grew slightly heavier as the spirit began forming a new shape from his billowing cape: A pair of giant white wings, ones which spanned about five feet in length each.

"Good. This should help." Mason thought, reaching down to pick up his injured civilian, both their weights decreased from before. Gripping the body tightly, he crouched slightly and leapt up, the wings beating hard to give him lift. He climbed higher until he saw the hospital's main building to his left. Adjusting direction, he took off, gliding on a thankfully south bound current to his destination.

He arrived a few minutes later, descending to the ground and touching down a short ways from the emergency entrance. All around him were patients, visitors and doctors, all of them stopping to look as his wings folded back up into the cape he had worn. He caught some gasps, but paid them no heed. He had a job to do.
Some time later, after he had regressed his spirit and taken a seatin the waiting room, he heard David's voice come over the morpher, saying Phil's phone was at the very same hospital he was. "Well, that's good news." Taking the device, he replied. "Guys, I'm at the hospital already. A civilian tried to help me, but got beaten unconscious by a few Wyrmlings, so I brought him in. I'm in the Emergency wing, but I'll meet you all outside."

"Will do." David replied.

Present Time -

For nearly ten seconds, Alex got no response from the customer, which struck him as odd.

Shrugging the person off, he decided to just get back to work. The faster these last fifteen minutes passed, the better. He was anxious to see what else the poster would have to say as well. He knew Grayson Groceries and a few people who worked there, but they would have spoken to him by his real name instead of his ID name.
As the minutes ticked closer to 4, another customer entered the store. Looking over to check him, this kid was young, about 20. Thinking this was going to be typical, Alex was quickly shaken by the words that ushered from his mouth.

All Hail Lelouch said:
"Alright,...which one of you...pencil necked geeks...is Agent from the Escapist? I beat your 15 minute bullshit waiting period, now who are you?"
That remark raised not only his eyebrows about an inch, but got the attention of everyone else in the store, making his face turn red in embarrassment. "This kid's the guy who contacted me?" He was expecting someone rational, not someone who would fly off the hook for a made up time period, if this was real. Alex sighed loudly, one palm over his face. "God, I hope this is a joke."

"Listen, kid." Jeane said. "Don't come barging in here and making a scene. If you're looking for..."

"It's alright, Jeane." Alex said. He would have to speak up soon anyway. "He's looking for me. I'll handle this." He then stepped forwards, adjusting his black work vest and nametag before cracking a smile. He could flip this around easily. "I'm Alex. Mind giving me your name, Lelouch? Or, is that your real name?"

Luke turned to the man who had stepped forward and stopped his female coworker from doing anything rash. He eyed the man, examining his stature from head to toe. He certainly didn't look tough, not to mention that there wasn't a scratch on him. Luke's hand however, was proof that he did.

"Yeah, I'm Lelouch alright. My name's Luke. Now would you mind explaining how the hell a scrawny guy like you could fight off those monsters in the park!?" Luke mocked the man.

"Monsters?" Jeane had her own eyebrows raised upon hearing that statement. Then, she remembered the Twitter feed Alex had asked her to forward him. "Wait..."

"Well, I'm about to get off shift, Luke." Alex interrupted. "Give me two minutes. I'll talk to you outside." Without waiting for a reply, Alex walked over to the computer at the cashier's station, opening the shift registry and signing himself out for the day. A few customers were still giving him odd looks, along with Luke.

"What is he talking about?" Jeane asked in a low voice.

"I'll tell you later, in private." Grabbing his laptop and case from the back room, Alex put the system on standby again, stuffing it into the case and leaving with it over his shoulder. "I'll see you tomorrow, Jeane." he said as he opened the front door of the shop, seeing Luke leaning against one of the glass windows already.

It was still thankfully overcast outside, but he slipped on a pair of sunglasses anyway as he met with the young kid. He hoped he would refrain from more odd comments, but the internet did have that kind of effect on people. "Alright, Luke." Alex began. "You said you wanted to know how I fought off those things?"

Until a later point in the game, I will be controlling the veteran rangers to advance their part of the current plot.

Also, due to external factors, one of the NPC names has been changed.

"This should be a very interesting Story. Go ahead! I'm all ears Alex." Luke layed on the sarcasm thick with his words. This scrawny kid works at a comic book store, there's no way that he could have taken on those monsters without any help.
