I'll go one better and tell you what I think the entire plot of MW3 will be:
When Nikolai says "Da, I know a place" at the end of MW2, he takes you to a safehouse in Chernobyl (because that would be totally awesome) which is ambushed by Russian soldiers. Soap and Price are captured alive. Meanwhile, Ramirez is part of an invasion of Russia. Soap and Price escape, there is a voice over on a loading screen consisting of Price saying "We were betrayed, there's no way the Russian Army would notice us fly a helicopter into the Chernobyl exclusion zone they were guarding" They conclude it was Nikolai and begin to hunt him down. Ramirez meanwhile is part of an attack on Moscow. Rangers campaign ends with a nuke going off, killing everyone, except for Ramirez who was hiding in a refrigerator. Soap and Price hunt down Nikolai. Soap gets shot and wounded by Nikolai, Price is dead, again. Nikolai stands over you slowly loading a pistol and monologuing that he was a KGB agent all along and only helped you throughout the campaign of COD 4 and MW2 to gain your trust and to deliver Price to the KGB alive. Price sneezes, Nikolai turns and Soap shoots him in the back.
Meanwhile Makarov escapes again.
The End.
A year later Infinity Ward churns out another MW and the cycle continues.
