Never the less , I will buy Black Ops. To stay in the loop of course.

But if this impacts gameplay or I have to pay monthly or something, then I'm out.

A Call of Duty game every year? Really? Is this really what the industry needs? More of the same.

Pretty soon the next "innovation" will be that they're working on a Call of Duty reboot.

I think they found out how many people that hated the idea to pay for a COD game online so they just said "Oh but he really meant this" in hopes to avoid full hate from fans.

Still I won't be buying that COD game if they start to charge for petty things. Actually charging for anything after a game is release is silly enough imo. Support the game and you'll get money through bought copies.

And people like Kotick wonder why pirates do what they do. It's because greedy turds like him are extorting everyone else.

They should charge people a fee to enable the mute function.

They would make a fortune. Err... another fortune rather.

Yes do it, anyone who wants to play online has to pay £50 an hour, get rid of the frat boys, cheaters and morons. Cleans xbox live and force them all back to counter strike and gaming will be pure again

Okay maybe mines a wish but still...

Hey... If they want to charge for Map Packs and skins and stuff... Go ahead... I mean, as a PC player, I usually expect things such as Map Packs for free, but it seems as if that era is coming to an end.
free map packs...
man those were the days

It doesn't really matter what they say about "not taking away existing free features", I still love how their idea of "innovation" is charging people for things they've been getting included with the price of the game for years.

I mean the amount of DLC Valve have produced for TF2 dwarfs pretty much all of Activision's DLC put together (not counting Blizzard obviously), and how much of that have we had to pay for lol.
is that counting the Mods?

And this sort of 'innovation'is exactly why I don't intend to get Black Ops.
Ha, people said the same thing about MW2 and look what became of that.

no i think the next innovation is you controlling a call of duty player who is playing call of duty in game.

also don't they already kinda do this anyway? World at War, MW, MW2 don't know the span between the releases but aren't they like 1 or 2 years apart

Maybe we should give them to the Wii, COD for the wii, it could work. All the frat boys would be there, playing football with the remote, cheating and insulting each other on the Wii

Besides, even on the PC community I can't get away from it

I can't see the Call of Duty series having premium content except for the maps they charge for and that is about it. I suppose they could charge for extra weapons or multiplayer games modes but that is about it. The premium content would most likely not be anything special.

I really don't see the problem here, and I think that the outcries from the community are really just kneejerk reactions against Activision with little bearing on what is being said.

If the existing multiplayer of the game continues to exist as it is absolutely free, but Activision chooses to add something on top of that - whatever it might be - for, I don't know, $3 a month? Seriously, we have a problem with a company offering a premium service for more?

Isn't that, uh... just logical? You pay more for more stuff. Or should we expect all of our advancements for free?
