What is this skyward sword you speak of? A weapon in dark souls or skyrim? No? Don't care then!

So...do we just stop making new games? It's the bestest one ever, so what's the point of trying to compete?

What I hear from this is "Nintendo will never release a game this good, so don't even bother buying the WiiU."

And I will heed this counsel, Reggie.

On the plus side it is a slight improvement on EA's "Our game can kick your game's ass."

He must of missed that Chrono Cross exists
Do mine eyes tell me lies? Have I gone daft?! Another person here that considers Chrono Cross to be the best game ever made?!?

You're my new best friend.

OT: For some reason this reminds me of early-mid 90s Sega marketing.

Really Reggie? Is this why were not getting Xenoblade and Last Story? To not steal the spotlight from Zelda? HRM!?

Is it truly the best, Reggie?
Let's not toss that phrase around so casually, huh?
That simply translates to "It's all downhill from here. Give up."

... Guess he doesn't play that many games.

Being proud of your game is one thing, but to declare that even your own company will never surpass their current product seems like a poor business practice, especially when investors are involved... investors who are currently unsure of their willingness to support said company's future products.

This is coming from the guy who is trying his hardest to make sure Xenoblade never sees a US release. I find his word on "quality" a little hard to take seriously.

Have to disagree with Reggie. Even if Skyward Sword turns out to be an excellent game, it still won't be the best Nintendo game.

That honor still goes to Super Mario Bros. 3.

Best game of all time? Hmmmm no. Best game this year? Easily.

Clearly he has developed powers of omniscience and simply decided to enlighten us with an amazing fact he discovered.
To be fair, it could be true.

Has anyone here played the game yet? Because if not, we can't really judge him. The game might actually melt faces with sheer awesome and he had to sacrifice his family just to survive half an hour of gameplay.
It's out in the UK already. I've had the game since Wednesday.

THE FUCK? The president of a company praising its product and possibly using hyperbole? FOR FUCKING SHAME.
Usually when a company hypes there game, they don't say it is undoubtly better then anything that has been created and will be created.

@Reggie Well I guess I should stop trying to become a video game designer as it will never be as good as Skyward Sword...

So the President of Nintendo America is trying to increase publicity for a Nintendo product...what a surprise.

To be honest I was more interested in the article about Crash Bandicoot and how apparently the Activision CEO wants to bring back Crash, and after seeing what they did to Spyro...please dear god NO!

Thanks to this comment, Reggie, I can already think of one point against its favor.

Not to say that it's a bad game, I'm sure it's great, Zelda games usually are.

But just don't spooge all over it like that - it makes a mess.
