Personality: Alec usually keeps a close eye on friends to make the most of their time with him. He does this because he has a paranoia that something might happen with them, and then they'll be gone forever. He's really generous and kind, he likes to work out (it takes a lot of energy to be a one-man archeology crew ((digging, traveling, carrying finds to the lab))). On his free time, Alec practices his special power to talk to his parents, and the rest of it to go drinking (as seeing dead people on a regular basis can really screw you up).

[spoiler=A Rather Spectacular Character Sheet: Dr. Jared Strauss/TheDoctor455
]
Name: Dr. Jared Strauss
Age: 44
Appearance: Funnily enough, he is often mistaken for the famous TV character, Dr. House. Dr. Strauss is about the same height, same build, he even has to use a cane to support himself as he moves around. The key differences are that he has vibrant green eyes, white hair, self-inflicted scars on his face and legs, and instead of a gray tweed suit, Dr. Strauss most often wears (everywhere he goes, at all times) a white lab-coat, a minimum of two layers of latex, gloves, a surgical mask, brown slacks, and a t-shirt with a sarcastic comment on it. On the whole, he is pretty ugly.
BIO: Dr. Strauss was born and raised in London, England. He attended Oxford, and studied to become a physician. He married his university sweetheart, Mary Sutherland. Together they had three daughters, Emily (age 9), Amelia (age 5), and Sunny (age 2). For ten years, Dr. Strauss led a happy life with his family, and... after his 40th birthday, his powers emerged. To this day, Strauss still isn't entirely certain what his family died of, all he knows is that he is to blame for their deaths.
Ever since then, Dr. Strauss has refused to treat another patient. He will however, teach what he knows to others. So, he's been roaming from city to city, giving guest lectures at teaching hospitals around the world. Then, he read a newspaper article about some crackpot's theories about the recent boom of people with unique and impossible abilities. The physician in Dr. Strauss dismissed the theories as bullshit, but the hopeless, ruined man in him found some hope in those theories. Everything about the speed with which these abilities popped up to their symptoms and the abilities themselves sounded like an epidemic to him... and if that were the case, if he could study others with abilities, he might be able to find a cure and free himself from this curse, and try to live a normal life again. For this chance, Dr. Strauss is willing to do almost anything.
To that end, Dr. Strauss has set up a web-page with his contact information so that he can help them deal with their new powers, and through any associated traumas. In exchange, all he asks are some DNA samples for his research. He has made some progress in his studies, but not enough for his taste. As a result, he has started to get addicted to several powerful narcotics (he usually takes them in high doses at the same time).
He knows that he shouldn't be taking narcotics, especially if he hopes to complete his research, but he just needs something to keep him going at times. He has no social life... he sees it as too great a risk ever since his powers emerged. Before his family died, he used to love going to Arcades with his daughters and playing "House of the Dead" or Air-Hockey with them. He loved to do almost anything as long as his family was with him. But now that they're dead, the only activity he can derive any enjoyment from is walking through public parks at night, and flying a kite. That's what he and his wife did on their first date... and its all he can do to keep her memory alive.
Supernatural Template: Mutation. Dr. Strauss doesn't know the exact cause of his mutation... nothing in his family history explains his abilities in any way... other than the fact that many of his ancestors were also Doctors. He isn't entirely sure what the source of his mutation is, or even if it is an actual mutation, but for now... its the best explanation Dr. Strauss has for his abilities.
Abilities: Dr. Strauss is the logical extreme of a Plague-bearer. He carries every known disease known to humanity in his blood (although the worst one is unknown). This renders him immune to any illness and extremely resilient to chemical influence (hence why he has to take large doses of various narcotics to get any effect from them at all), but it also means he can spread any of these diseases at the slightest skin-to-skin contact. What's worse is that the longer Dr. Strauss lives, the more the viruses mutate and become even more potent. This would be the perfect power for a serial killer; fortunately though, Dr Strauss isn't one yet (although his chronic depression, if left unchecked, could lead to a deliberate massacre). Dr. Strauss has no direct control over this ability whatsoever. However, which disease he spreads through physical contact varies depending on his emotional state. On the rare occasions that he is happy, he spreads Malaria, when he is depressed (which is often) he spreads an accelerated form of Dysentery, when he is sexually aroused he spreads accelerated variations of every known STD, when he is scared shitless he spreads an accelerated Parkinson's Disease, when he is extremely angry he spreads a combination of Leprosy and an unknown disease that sort of works as a biological napalm (my idea for how it works is that it melts the subject from the inside out while the Lepracy rots the exterior portions of the body), and at all other times (when his emotions are generally neutral) he spreads all of the relatively harmless diseases like Colds, Flus, and Strep Throats. However, in extremely rare cases, when he is completely devoid of emotion, he spreads every single disease he has at the same time. Again... this is only if he manages to make skin-to-skin contact.
