The game looks amazing. its like old school immersive sim games at start you have nothing but meelee weapon then slowly you will get more.
I had never noticed this about Halo until you just mentioned it. Had to look up some screenshots just to make sure you're not crazy.DeliveryGodNoah said:The first problem is, why is the cursor so low? Is this just how the video makes it seem? Or are they really going for that nauseating Halo/Destiny cursor that Bungie were so keen on using? It seems petty, but if so, that's a no buy for me. I've tried playing Halo 2 and 3, and even Destiny, and for whatever reason, I get a massive headache just from the cursor not being in the exact center of the screen. Does this sincerely not bother anyone else?

I guess the problem is I play everything on my computer monitor, including console games, and it might be geared more for people who play on TVs (which are usually further away/higher up) as opposed to monitors (which are closer/viewed more from above).Dirty Hipsters said:I had never noticed this about Halo until you just mentioned it. This is coming from someone who played Halo CE, 2, 3, ODST, Reach, and 4.
So yeah, never had a problem with it and never even noticed it was a thing. I think my mind automatically blocks out everything above the shield bar since it's basically useless space, so that centers the cross hairs in my perception.
Weird how differently people's brains work. I guess it's similar to how some people play inverted and can't understand why everyone thinks they're crazy.
Spooky spook world with old wooded rooms and a wrench. I dunno, seemed Bioshocky to me.Johnny Novgorod said:People are saying BioShock, I thought Mirror's Edge at first.

I dont see anything bioshock like in this game. it looks more of Half life and System shock 2. knowing arkane they are master of level design so im expecting this game to be excellent.DeliveryGodNoah said:I have several problems, which I'm hoping they'll work on, though one I'm not sure of.

Second, like anyone else here, this just looks like Bioshock. Like, almost a carbon copy as far as gameplay goes.
That's funny, cause Bioshock was just System Shock 2 underwater with more refined action.B-Cell said:I dont see anything bioshock like in this game. it looks more of Half life and System shock 2. knowing arkane they are master of level design so im expecting this game to be excellent.DeliveryGodNoah said:I have several problems, which I'm hoping they'll work on, though one I'm not sure of.

The guy hates Bioshock (it's either not old school enough or not manly enough, don't remember). He'll never admit to Prey looking anything like it.DeliveryGodNoah said:That's funny, cause Bioshock was just System Shock 2 underwater with more refined action.B-Cell said:I dont see anything bioshock like in this game. it looks more of Half life and System shock 2. knowing arkane they are master of level design so im expecting this game to be excellent.DeliveryGodNoah said:Second, like anyone else here, this just looks like Bioshock. And I highly doubt this game is going back to System Shock 2 like RPG mechanics, so yes, this is quite like Bioshock.
It has a foreboding atmosphere. The earliest weapons looks like a wrench and a single barrel shotgun. And there's also a weapon that freezes enemies. And you loot various things. And there are health pack stations in the walls.
Bioshock absolutely suck and it was incredibly scripted and linear compare to system shock. infact bioshock was poor mans system shock.DeliveryGodNoah said:That's funny, cause Bioshock was just System Shock 2 underwater with more refined action.B-Cell said:I dont see anything bioshock like in this game. it looks more of Half life and System shock 2. knowing arkane they are master of level design so im expecting this game to be excellent.DeliveryGodNoah said:I have several problems, which I'm hoping they'll work on, though one I'm not sure of.

The environment might echo System Shock to a degree, but I highly doubt it will play like System Shock.
