That's it. I'm done. I'm not playing this any longer. I tried to like it, I did. But in the end I really was just playing a mindless timesink that I was only enjoying because my PC was out, preventing me from other, better designed games.

I hope you all enjoy your CoD/whatever your game of choice is, but the flaws of this game have just pissed me off to the edge. The magic of Call of Duty 4 is gone - I thought that this was my savior from the insult of MW2, but really, it's still poorly designed and garbagetastic. It's the FarmVille of the FPS genre.

Every single one of my issues is solved in Team Fortress 2, a game made by a more talented design team who have to actually work because they don't have the CoD license to print money.

Is there really a poll here or am I just tripping balls?

My main problem is the spawn system. I love the game, but the spawn system pisses me off beyond belief.

All I read is... whine whine whine.

For the spawns, I play demolition. For the explosives, I either just deal with it or throw on flak jacket. For the knives... well I never let anyone get in close enough to knife.

As soon as I unlocked the AUG and L96A1 I touched no other gun. Do I care? Not really. And also the pro perks kind of suck in general, only useful one I actually put on is sleigh of hand pro.

Just play the barebones mode or something if you're sick of the "innovations" they have made.

Either that or don't play it at all.

Yeah I agree with the broken spawn system, the knife and second chance, don't know what your problem is with the pro perks they are perfectly valid and if your constantly getting Claymore'd use Hacker. Simple

Oh and the leveling grind is complete bullshit i'll agree with you there

My only real complaints with the game stem from the users. We get it, the game has 4 overpowered guns. Give the other ones a try every now and then. You won't die if you don't win a round or two.

The other is with the map design. Since CoD1, the maps have always had the left path, the right path, and the middle path. Every CoD map has suffered from that formula and it's getting a tad boring.

I am a bit of a whiner, I know, but these are just the bad points of the game that I listed. I also like a bunch of them which if this was a review, I'd bring up.

It's not that I'm constantly getting Claymore'd. It's just their insane overuse is due to their stupidly large detection range.

And I guess my problem with Pro Perks isn't personal, it's just that if you get the challenges, you get an upgrade. It's not like using a different gun or attachment, where there are trade-offs, Pro Perks allow people advantages over other players for playing longer, since you can grind any Pro Perk.

Everything you said is exactly what I say. Another claymore idea, use hacker BUT also bring a flash/stun to disable it first. Pro perks are pro because you gotta do shit to get them better. It doesn't have to be a trade-off. The only trade-off is not being able to use the other perks. For example, the reason why you chose marathon over ninja was because you wanted to run all day, and you can still be heard. If you have a problem with them, use a headset! Second chance is a decent enough perk because you can't always get that extra kill. Besides, the perk was is kinda for noobs who cant kill you in a fair fight, so give those 3-17 noobs a break.

Yeah I think that they should do one of three things with the knife:

1. Get rid of it
2. Make it a separate weapon
3. Make it two hits to kill someone with it

As for everything else I dont have a problem with it.

The spawn system on some of the smaller maps is a pain in the butt. The Commando and ak74-u are really freaking good compared to rest of the guns.

What are the "4 overpowered guns" you are talking about? I have know of the AK-74U, what about the other 3?

My only real complaint is everybody using the AK74-u, Famas, or Galil.(sp?)

Thats why I've been experimenting with other guns and attachments. I now love using the AUG with flamethrower attached. Also I'm glad that the recent patch made snipers much easier to use.

The only valid thing is the spawns.

They are fuckin terrible on any game type without fixed objectives like Demo or CTF

I also disagree with the whole COD points. It just create the illusion of freedom, while you still have to do things the same way. They could fix that by giving you access to all weapons at the beginning but making them cost more.

Might just be the way I play, but I never had a problem with Second Chance. Hell, when it kicked in on an opponent all it would do was give me the Executioner bonus.

The migrating spawn plays hell on my teammates in Hardcore, mostly because I am easily startled. Although so far I've only killed one team mate with stray fire. On the downside, it was the other local player.

AK74u, Famas, Galil, and MP5k.

When you enter lobbies, check everyones combat profile and check their most used weapon(it will be the first thing to show up in that tab). 9/10 people use only those guns.

I don't mind Second Chance because of the Executioner bonus. Sure it sucks when somebody else takes your kill, but It really is only in the game to help out noobs who need the extra help. I used it myself when I first started because I was having a hard time. Plus I must admit it was funny as hell when I got 5 kills (no joke) in second chance. Since then I have moved on to more useful perks and don't use it anymore. Ninja is so much better...

True, I need to start checking that. I use the Commando now, but I started with the M-16. I have used the AK74U, but I didn't notice it being 'overpowered'. At the time, the AUG seemed to be the 'overpowered' one.

Some of the points you mentioned I was annoyed with when I played too. I play mostly TDM and DOM. In TDM the maps aren't really a problem although the spawns can really ruin your day.

The maps can be extremely horrible when playing objective based games - at least in my experience.

Lets take an example of one of the games I played on Summit: The opposing team took two points closest to eachother and basically camped the entire time. It was absolutely impossible to take these points because of few routes you could take - and even if you did get to the point you'd get killed as soon as you started to cap it.

In MW2 the maps had many many ways you approach getting to a point and the maps always offered themselves to flanking and counter attacks.

I've also had limited success with any weapons other than fully automatic assault rifles. It makes me laugh that an M14 - a gun that was made in the 1960's and is still used by the US military to some degree as a very accurate weapon - has more recoil than emptying an entire FAMAS clip into someone - even if you use the grip attachment.

Of course, for me the gameplay is choppy as hell (which also pisses me off no end - although since they patched it a few days ago I haven't had the desire to play Blops) and only really seems to smooth out when I play on US servers (I'm in the UK) and it somehow balances out when I have 150 ping or so.

I also feel that the way the classes were organised wasn't done very well.

But alas, I am bitching and moaning. These are just the things that came to mind when playing the game. Think nothing of them.
