I'm supposed to be working on some linear algebra homework right now but I'm terrible at it and my math/econ major roommate isn't here to help right now so I'm procrastinating online instead of figuring out how to do it properly.

When I procrastinate, it's either this, games or guitar but at least I'm looking up news while I'm on my computer (sort of).

What do my fellow Escapists do when they procrastinate?

I usually wind up watching television or playing games if I'm procrastinating. One of those, or sleep. But usually television. It's such a lovely distraction.

We *need* to have a *talk* about this procrastination problem of yours!!
Some other time. :p

but past experience has shown me it's important to point out that my comment there is a joke.

I've found that one helpful thing to do is keep several projects handy to work on, then when I for some reason can't convince myself to work on the most pressing/difficult/important project I often wind up working on one of the less pressing/difficult/important ones and at least get something useful done.

When I procrastinate I play games, hit the forums, read webcomics, browse amazon, or eat. Depends on where I am.

Getting lost in my own head is pretty much what I do to procrastinate, its easy and I can do it anywhere/anytime - within reason. Daydreaming takes up a lot more of my time than I'd care to admit. Playing games and being on the internet come at a close tie for second pick.

Since I do most of my homework on the computer, it is so easy for the internet to distract me. Video games and exercising can also be very tempting when I feel lazy. Funny thing is, last semester I was always ahead with my work, very diligent. This semester my work ethic is pretty bad.

play video games, watch live streams, look up stuff on the internet, and I have just reminded myself that TV tropes exist. Now I'll be gone for several weeks.

I tend to post on the Escapist when I'm procrastinating... So I suspended myself for three days this week to ensure I kept on task.

Depends on what I'm procrastinating from. The internet is normally enough, the forums here being a favourite. Or I'll just finish this quest line/beat this boss/ try this tactic in the game of the day.

Or in order to appease future me about the procrastination, I clean. My room is always noticeably cleaner when I have a deadline....what? it helps me focus.

Does this mean we'll have some show reviews in the future?

You've gotten two in the past and they weren't well-received and I didn't like writing them much, so probably not.

i continuously dwell on my duties until they're fulfilled. procrastination only prolongs the time it takes to satisfy this condition so i try to limit this non-activity as much as possible.

I usually do anything else. ANYTHING. At home, I'd resort to cleaning my room over doing work. Here, at college, it's watch some videos on the internet that I've probably already seen, or play around an hour of a game then jump to another. I've been having problems sticking to one game at a time for extended periods, and it bothers me...

I am procrastinating right now. I have to finish writing up two lesson plans for my presentation on Tuesday. Therefore I am browsing the web, watching YouTube or reading random stuff.

I should be practising for that huge math test we have tomorrow but since that is so impossibly boring I choose not to. My PlayStation and the great outdoors is much more fun...... I am not a smart person

All the video games, all day, erry day.
Failing that, I'll piss about on Youtube, and since I need my laptop to do my work, procrastinating is the rule rather than the exception.
