I was expecting RDR to be my favourite ever game ending (i had it spoiled beforehand) because it was so beautifully paced, the way you go on these epic missions then you just want to get back to family life for a while and I thought the death was going to be extremely emotional but it ended up anticlimactic and barely developed. So he dies, Abbie cries, then it goes forward 4 years to Jack standing over their graves and he doesn't even say anything. It should have been shot in the back unexpectedly and to have you play as Jack as a kid for a few missions and for there to be a funeral or anything more developed. My expectations had been built too high and though it's still one of my favourite endings, it's not that memorable really. The directing of when he dies was terrible too. The whole screen is red and he just falls over covered in ugly blood and a snarl on his face. Not emotional.
