*obligatory rant with Shinji Ikari, using reasons repeated ad infinitum*
Jason Brody (Far Cry 3) and Lara Crost (Tomb Raider 2013) At first, pushovers who have never even so much as balled a fist at another human, but once they get their first taste of death, suddenly unleashed their inner bloodthirster as they shoot and cleave through legions with relative ease while remaining emotionally fragile. One would think they would be emotionally dead inside from all the tribulations and obstacles they had to go respectively endure and negotiate to rescue their loved ones, but nope. Almost nothing about their personalities, aside from their willingness to kill, changes. Come to think of it, the two protagonists can have their locales switched to the other's and not a single thing about the stories would change in the least, they've so much in common.
