Prototypes: Super Hero RP (Finished)

[Before anyone says anything, Chris is indeed overpowered but that's the point. I'll tone down Samuel a bit to compensate.]

Samuel took the folder of the being. Something told him that he should treat this creature with respect. Perhaps it was the giant door being thrown through several walls. The being nodded at him and vanished. Samuel blinked. The silvery light dissapeared with it and Samuel found himself in complete darkness. He tried to activate the electrical current that ran through the entire complext, but there was no juice for it. Pity, he wanted to look through these files some more. He guided himself with the strings.

The halls were empty. He felt dull compressions reverberate through the walls and ground. He didn't really feel like going to the site he got assigned anymore. He grabbed the string that led towards Chicago.

He emerged with great headaches and hurting muscles on the top of another building.

[We've lived there for a few years, yes, but the facility was made for multi-ethnical purposes. Samuel never indulged in the Russian language, too much scribbling. And the little he picked up during the testing, he forgot in years of neglect.]

 

[Sparrow]

Sparrow put the house phone down, with a puzzled look on his face. How was he meant to warn all of Russia that some nutjob was going to release a bunch of failed experiments, on the entire world?

Then the answer came to him, and he phoned up Samuel's old employer.

"Who is this?"

"What is it? Suprised to hear from me?"

"Ah, #2. I suppose I should have forseen this."

"Forseen my ass, you thought your little freaks would sort this out, wouldn't you? Well you've got a bigger problem on your hands. It seems your employer won't be much of an employer anymore."

"What? What do you know about #8?"

"More than you it seems. He's going to attack Russia, then move onto America. What do you think about that?"

"Your lying."

"Alright, see it that way if you will. I won't be the one complaining when Russia has a death toll bigger than your oversized ego."

Sparrow slammed the phone down, quite happy with his witty remark. He phoned back Samuel, and leaned back on the bed. Samuel did like to talk quite a bit after all, so he needed to be comfy.

Samuel looked around. He had focused on his own room, but misjumped somehow, ending on the roof.. Perhaps the thought of the silver being had distracted him. He opened the door to the fire-escape and walked down. He had done this many time before, so he knew the way.

Samuel's phone rang again. He hoped it wasn't #8. He saw 'Samuel - House' on the display. Sparrow was calling him again. It could wait, they would be face-to-face within seconds.

He smelled the scent of blood, and it became more prominent the further he got down. He also smelled burnt flesh. He hurried down the stairs and slammed the door from the Fire-escape. He hit the head of a burnt person. He looked around and saw that bodies littered the stairs. He walked towards the door of apartment 4 and opened the door. He saw Sparrow lounge on the couch with a phone to his ear.

"Hey there."

 

[Sparrow]

Sparrow seemed stunned.

"Wow. This is a really good reception! I can hear you so clearly!"

 

[SamuelT]

"Sparrow, behind you." Samuel said, with a mock sigh. He looked around, seeing that several charis were knocked over and that a few wrappers of bars littered the room. His wallet was on the table. Samuel looked in it. He was a hundred short.

"You didn't use my money, did you?"

 

[Sparrow]

"Um."

Sparrow tried to think of an excuse.

"No, Sarah and Emily did."

Well it's not like they can be anymore angry at me, can they?

Sparrow jumped off the bed, and put the phone down.

"So? Any news?"

 

[SamuelT]

"Hell yeah, I've got news. #8's invading Russia as we speak. He let out hordes of the lesser Prototype. He deformed some of them, making them stronger but less intelligent."

Samuel sighed. He wasn't sure to tell Sparrow about the silver being. It seemed too...sacred to just tell anyone.

"And I didn't get a chance to stop the constant stream of data we're recieving from the facility. Everything gets transmitted to the laptop, but if they find the lead they can trace it towards here."

"So, what's new here? Where's the rest? I'd expect them to try to kill me for what I've done."

 

[Sparrow]

"Heh. Well, we're in cahoots with each other, remember? Apparently even though you threw me off a roof, I'm a complete prick for trying to save their lives."

Sparrow laughed, but Samuel seemed confused.

"They think I set a trap for them."

Samuel's expression changed, and he nodded slightly.

"Seems all of Patrick's ranting must have gotten to them. But, er. There was something else I wanted to talk to you about."

Sparrow cleared his throat.

"Don't suppose you saw any strange, naked, silver people around?"

 

[SamuelT]

Samuel reclined a bit. Strange topic change, but he had seen it. Just now.

"Yeah, one led through that facility an hour ago. You've seen one too?"

 

[Sparrow]

"Yeah. It was definately a strange start to the day."

Sparrow stared outside the window.

"Or night. Anyway. What did yours want?"

 

[SamuelT]

"He, She, it? led me through a few corridors and took a small booklet out of the archives after wrenching a ten-ton steel door out of the way."

Samuel looked at Sparrow.

"Yours healed you, I presume? Five days can't have healed you that well."

 

[Sparrow]

"Time heals all wounds, but not after being thrown of a roof."

Samuel sighed.

"What? I'm not gonna' shut up about it, you threw me off of a building!"

 

[SamuelT]

"It was the only possible way of getting you out of the danger-zone without getting killed. Doc could've killed you, or make me kill you."

"I also had to gain his trust by feigning your murder. I've downloaded all his plans and gained inside knowlage because of it. It was the most logical choise." Samuel said.

"Have you warned any authority yet about the upcoming invasion, by the way?" He asked

 

[Sparrow]

Sparrow thought back to his amazing and witty remark.

"Oh yeah. I warned em'. I warned em' good. What about you? Get any other work done inbetween yours and Doc's fancy dress party?"

 

[SamuelT]

"Nothing out of the ordinairy. Apart from what you already know."

Samuel leaned back. He didn't feel tired, he just had a full night's worth of sleep behind him. He wanted to do something. Anything.

"Where did the rest go? Surely not just take a stroll around Chicago after they left you?"

 

[Sparrow]

"No, you know. After your shoddy patch-up on my limbs fell apart after the whole us getting attacked thing happened, Emily broke my ribs and Sarah slapped me in the face."

Sparrow slumped back in the chair next to Samuel.

"Not the greatest day."

 

[SamuelT]

"Yeah, but where did they go? What are they up to, why and who are they in contact with? Doc's still planning on getting you to join his cult. They're very 'out and about' right now. It would be best to try and talk to them. Or at least find out where they are"

 

[Sparrow]

"Yeah, I don't see that happening. It's why I called you though. If we can find Iceous, we can get him to talk to them for us. That way nobody loses any limbs."

Sparrow paused.

"Hopefully."
