Sorry I've not been here recently, guys. I started a new job yesterday and I had to get used to the new sleeping pattern so when I got home yesterday I was too tired to read through the posts until now.
"Poor Emily. When I left they had barely gotten engaged. I know that she loves him.." Sarah breathed in a sighed. She gripped Sparrow's stomach tighter. "I don't know Sparrow. Cars freak me out.. I'm not sure I'm going to like it, but I trust you so I have no other choice."
Sarah looked at the direction of her house. Would this be the last time she saw it? All those years of hard work, would they go to waste? She had made a life for herself in L.A., even if it was a bland life, at least it was 'normal'.
"You should really stop that, Sparrow. You don't even need it anymore." Samuel said as a reaction of Sparrow taking his drugs. Sarah looked at the jar, reading what it held, and frowned.
Sparrow shrugged and popped the pill in his mouth. Samuel raised an eyebrow. He destroyed the pill inside Sparrow's mouth.
Sparrow flipped the lid off the vicodin bottle once more and put another pill in his mouth, much to Samuel's dismay.
"So I'm an addict. Boo hoo. Believe me, you'd like me alot less if I was off them."
Sparrow kicked off the pedal to his bike, and built up speed. He'd already reached 40 before Samuel had caught up. Sarah didn't seem to enjoy the circumstances.
Iceous pushed himself up. All of his recent memory was shot. A massive migraine pounded on his skull. Where the hell am I? Why am I not home? And why are my clothes soggy?
He looked at the sun, using his hand as a visor. It's sunny. I'll just let them dry normally.
He set off walking in the general direction of home.
Samuel looked behind him. Iceous was up again, but he didn't look agressive. More dazed then anything. Samuel signaled Sparrow to turn around. Perhaps he could tag along with them. He'd be a target alone.
They drove up to him, and Portal looked at them, surprised.
Sparrow skidded around Iceous, and did a 180 spin to face his direction. Sarah screamed as he did so, and Iceous stepped back from the bike in his dazed state. Samuel did not react, most likely because he expected it. Sparrow's mood tended to change drastically when he took his Vicodin.
Doc pulled his leather jacket tighter around himself as he walked down the deserted street. He'd encountered several more police over the past few hours and had killed them all. He'd discovered that while using what he'd dubbed his 'Shadow Form' that he was substantially stronger than a normal human, could phase through solid objects and could glide through the air and could also switch into and out of it at will. This made him more deadly as he'd taken to dropping down onto unsuspecting police patrols. He'd also noticed that in this form his missing hand was back which was a pleasant afterthought. But there was only one thought on his mind. Revenge. Revenge against the others Prototypes. He estimated that with his new powers he could take on even Samuel. He might not win but he could hold his own.
With a few police officers he'd possessed their shadow and tried to find out information about the other Prototypes but to no avail. He needed information on them. Preferably one of the weaker ones. He'd remembered Patrick at first... The paranoid one. He'd been sure he'd visited him in the asylum but he wasn't completely sure. But first he needed to find a place to hide. His missing side of his face and missing hand made him very noticeable in daylight.
Anybody got any ideas to how I'd find you? I'm fresh out of ideas.
Sparrow leant across from his bike, and touched Iceous's forehead.
"Well, good news is he hasn't got a temperature."
Samuel sighed, and Sarah reminded Sparrow that Iceous had a body temperature equivalent to a fridge.
"Ahh. Now, that makes much more sense."
Iceous seemed confused, but Samuel and Sparrow had seen it before.
"You had an energy spike, Iceous. We've seen it happen to alot of lessers over the years, it would only make sense that it happens to us too. Hightens your powers, senses and speed. It also puts you in a almost standby mode, where you act based on instincts. You forget it all after the energy spike is over though."
Sparrow patted Iceous on the shoulder, and pointed him to Samuel's bike.
"We're headed to Canada, to see Emily and her spy of a husband. I suggest you come with us."

Sparrow looked up and down Iceous's body. He seemed much brighter than usual, but he just couldn't place what was so different about him. His skin definately seemed less pale, but there was something obvious he was missing. Sparrow ran his hand through Iceous's hair, which freaked him out slightly. Sarah and Samuel thought it was strange, until they look at Iceous's hair.
Iceous ran over to a parked car and checked his reflection. His hair was indeed brown. His naturally tan skin was back as well. His hands started to shake.
"Sp-Sp-Sparrow....." He turned towards the other Prototypes. "D-d-does the e-e-energy sp-spike leave y-your p-p-powers useless?"
"Perhaps for a while. I don't know, I haven't seen this before." Samuel said. Iceous was freaking out. Samuel wasn't sure what to do. The strings of him were still as tangled as ever, and they didn't seem out of place.
"Lets test this out." Sarah walked over to Iceous and put her hand on his cheek. To Iceous a touch from Sarah would normally affect him greatly, but to a normal person she just felt warmer than normal.
"I feel th-the same, except f-for a g-great anger. I don't r-remember about what, th-though."
Sarah touched him. He flinched out of instinct, but she only felt like she'd been in the sun for too long. He tried to use his powers again, but there was still nothing.
"There's n-nothing left. Anyway, e-even if I d-decide to go w-with you, I'll need to m-make arrangements before we l-leave. I-I've got pets to c-c-care for."
"Oh, they're j-just little animals m-made of ice I c-created. I gave them the ability t-to speak a few weeks ago." Small talk was calming him down. "There's a dragon named Jake, a dog named Sir Mathew, a rabbit named Snowball, a cat named Sarah, and a tortoise named Cicle."
His eyes unfocused a bit. "Cicle's the oldest. And biggest. About yeah big." Iceous showed with his arms. "Sarah got here name because she always had a hot temper. Made me think of you."
