for a few days because I am switching internet providers. I've already warned the GM of my absence and allowed him to control my character. Other people can control my character if they want. Patrick woke up slowly. The only thing he could feel at first was his head, because it hurt like hell. As he slowly woke up, he realized he was next to a woman.

What the fuck? Who the hell is this chick? he thought, as he quickly sat upright. He couldn't remember her name, regardless of how hard he tried. As he looked around, Patrick realized with a start that he wasn't even in his house. He tried to stand up, and nearly fell over.

Geez, what happened? Was I at a crazy party or something? he thought to himself.

 

[Sparrow]

Sparrow and Sarah walked out of the door, as Samuel seemed to be trying to decide between orange juice and water. Sparrow pointed out that there was Coke, which Samuel didn't seem to take notice of.

Patrick sat upright on the bed, looking fairly dazed. Sparrow didn't really want to know what he and Emily had been up to, so decided to keep the conversation light.

"Hey Patrick. How you doing mate?"

Sarah sat down on the nearby couch. She happily looked at the coin that Sparrow had just given her.

When Sarah looked back up she saw Patrick sitting up on the bed. He seemed dazed and confused.

"How are you doing Pat? Are you feeling any better?"

 

[SamuelT]

Samuel poured himself a glass of water. He saw Sparrow and Sarah talk to Patrick and he moved in to join them. Patrick looked around, bewildered and confused. Strange.

"Patrick, do you know why you and Emily were in an unconcious state for a few hours? Drunk?"

Patrick was confused. All these people were asking him questions, all at the same time. He looked at each of them quickly, and realized that he didn't know any of them.

What? How do they know me then? he thought, confused. He heard one of them mention the woman's name though: apparently she was called Emily. Until I know what's going on, I'll just play along. Patrick decided.

"Uh, I'm fine. What's going on?" he asked casually.

 

[Sparrow]

Sparrow laughed, then wiped the sweat from his forehead. He then glared at Samuel, who had been hogging the fan for the past ten minutes.

"We hoped we'd get that answer from you."

Patrick tried to grin a little. "Well, sorry then man." he said carefully. "I can't exactly remember what happened right now: my head hurts like hell." As he said that, he finally managed to stand, though his legs were shaking somewhat. "As you can see, I'm sort of having trouble even standing up." he said, chuckling.

 

[Sparrow]

Sparrow grabbed Patrick by the shoulder, and started at him with a confused look. Patrick started back with an equally confused stare.

"You didn't stutter. I mean, I know you've began stuttering less but, you haven't stuttered at all."

A small silence filled the air, as followed by Sparrow patting Patrick on the shoulder.

"This is great! You must be feeling more confident or something."

Patrick was really starting to get freaked out. This guy was obviously a little loose in the head or something. And what did he mean by stuttering? Whatever. It didn't matter: all that did matter was that he managed to get away from this wierdo. Pat didn't like the look of the man drinking the glass of water either: his eyes were cold, distant somehow. The only one of them that looked normal was the woman sitting on the couch, playing with a coin.

 

[Dorian]

Iceous stirred. He blinked a few times and sat up. His eyes adjusted to the light.

"Hey Pat. Sam. Sarah. Sparrow."

He pushed himself off of the bed and walked over to where Sam got the water and helped himself to a cup.

 

[Sparrow]

"Alright. Someone needs to stick Emily in the car. Patrick, you take her okay? And Sarah, could you lead Iceous to the car? He's fairly out of it."

Iceous seemed to take note that someone said his name, and responded with a grunt.

"Well, you get the picture. Anyway, Patrick, you follow behind me and Samuel ok? We'll head toward the local TV station and whip up a media frenzy."

 

[Dorian]

"Yeah..... about the magic act..... What the hell am I going to do? 'Behold! The amazing man who can stand up!'"

Iceous downed the rest of his drink.

"And I'm still wondering why my powers aren't back yet......... Would anger hold them back?"

 

[Sparrow]

"Maybe. I'm sure being pissed won't help either."

Iceous poured himself another drink in spite of Sparrow's last comment.

"Anyway, you can be our manager if you like."

 

[Dorian]

Iceous drank some more of the life giving liquid.

"The only reason I bring it up is because I've felt some great anger since my power surge. I can't remember what it's from though...."

He finished off the rest of the water.

"Oh boy. I get to be buried in paperwork."

 

[SamuelT]

Samuel saw Sparrow look at several of them with a grin. Samuel could follow the train of thought.

"No costumes, Sparrow. No. Costumes."

 

[Sparrow]

"Oh come on! I've got ideas! Wait a tic..."

Sparrow pulled out a folder of drawings he'd made for everyone's seperate costumes. He then explained each one thoroughly.

"...and Sarah has the latex catsuit because we need to cover the section for the lads."

Patrick heard the wierdo mention the woman's name (Sarah) and the new guy's (Iceous), as well as some plan to cause a "media frenzy." Who were these people? Some sort of performers or something?

Focus. I'll play along for the moment until I know what's going on.

The one with the creepy eyes then gave away the wierdo's name: he was Sparrow. Sparrow started talking about costumes after Eyes mentioned that he didn't want them.

Huh. Yeah, probably performers then.

 

[Dorian]

Iceous picked up Emily.

"I'm going to drop her off in the car. I'll be there too."

He walked over to the door, passing by Sparrow.
