Prototypes: Super Hero RP (Finished)

[Sparrow]

"I always say that the glass isn't half full, or half empty without a proper measurement Sarah. If you need to be upset, be upset. Bottled up emotions tend to unbottle after a while. Violently."

Sparrow sprung down his bikes brake, and jumped on. Sarah followed suit, and clambered onto the back of the bike with him.

"Samuel sure is taking his time."

Samuel signified his presence by clearing his throat.

"Whoa! When the hell did you get here?"

 

[SamuelT]

"With magic, alright?" Samuel said.

"Well I juggest getting this show on the road. The faster we get this over with, the better."

Sarah nodded at Sparrow, she was worried but knew that he was right. If she thought about his injuries she would do nothing but worry about him even more.

Sarah got onto the bike with Sparrow. She wrapped her arms around his waist. She was about to speak, but Samuel seemingly appeared out of nowhere. She jumped slightly when she saw Samuel.

"I'm glad to see you Samuel, even if you did scare me. You're right, we should get going."

 

[Sparrow]

Sparrow looked to his right, as he saw Patrick sit down in the drivers seat of the police car. He seemed out of it lately, but Sparrow thought nothing of it. Iceous and Emily seemed to be having a conversation, which slightly worried Sparrow. Iceous hardly ever spoke.

"I suppose we should. Follow behind me Samuel."

Sparrow gestured to Patrick, as he slowly built up to a good speed. Samuel followed behind Sparrow, and Patrick followed behind Samuel.

"Samuel, you know why I picked this bike all these years ago?", Sparrow shouted over the wind speed.

Samuel shook his head. Sparrow twisted a small dial on the bike, and pressed a button on a small black device. Sound blared out of the bike, which scared several people in the streets.

"It's got a USB connector!", Sparrow effectively screamed over the sound.

 

[SamuelT]

"What would you do with an USB connector? You can't open a laptop!" Samuel yelled with a smile.

Sparrow led them to a building with the neon-sign flashing the emblem of the broadcasting company. Just when the sun appeared above the houses.

"So, barge in and preform?" Samuel asked.

 

[Sparrow]

"Sounds like a plan."

Sparrow kicked down the brake paddle, and turned off his engine. He then jumped of the bike, and helped Sarah down. The others then shortly arived in the police cruiser.

"Onward!"

Sarah got off of the motorcycle with Sparrow's help. She was walking ahead of the group.

I really hope everything goes ok..

"Alright everyone, put a smile on you face."

 

[SamuelT]

"You are really way too optimistic, Sarah." Samuel said.

They entered through the doors into a smokey and dimly-lit entrance. A bored, young receptionist sat behind the counter, chewing gum very loud.

"Yeah?" She said when they entered. Sparrow stepped forward to do the talking.

ooc:wow this looks like fun but I doubt there is a place for me to join in so I'll just lurk for a bit.

 

[Sparrow]

"We phoned ahead. We're here to meet Miss Daniel for our interview."

The receptionist, awestruck by Sparrow's good looks, checked a small clipboard on the desk.

"Sorry sir, but I can't see any appointments on the list..."

Sparrow leant across the desk, and placed his arms on the desk. The receptionist smiled, and stared into Sparrow's brown eyes.

"Aww, come on. You don't mind if we just pop up, do you? I mean, a gorgeous babe like you should be in modelling. Not working behind a desk. It's far to exhausting doing all that typing, and directing all those boring people, isn't it?"

The receptionist grinned, and picked her nearby phone.

"Name, sir?"

"Sparrow and His Circus of Birds.", Sparrow grinned

"Miss Daniels. Sorry to disturb you, but I quit. I'm too gorgeous for this job. I'm going into modelling. Get your own coffee, you stuck up *****. Oh yes, and you have some vistors."

The rest of the group stood silently, as the woman slammed down the phone

"You can go up now, good looking.", the receptionist smiled as she slipped a piece of paper into Sparrow's pocket, "Call me sometime."

The receptionist picked up some belongings, and stormed out of the front door. Sparrow tore up the piece of paper, and dropped it into a nearby bin.

"Gah. See the mug on her? I've seen prettier goldfish."

Sparrow gestured to the elevator.

"Shall we?"

Sarah, slightly annoyed at the events that had just taken place, walked towards the elevator. She looked at the receptionist that had stormed off and muttered under her breath. "Hope you get hit by a car.."

Sarah entered the elevator and walked towards the back. "Time to light myself on fire."

 

[Sparrow]

"Try not to set us on fire babe", Sparrow smiled.

The silence in the elevator suddenly became awkward, as everyone focused on Sparrow's use of the word "babe".

"Er, I mean Sarah. It was a nickname I gave her back in UIC, right Sarah?"

Sarah turned slightly red when Sparrow called her babe. The mood in the elevator had changed. Everyone stared at Sparrow and Sarah, it was very awkward.

"Umm.. uh.. erm.. Yes, its a nickname, thats all."

 

[Sparrow]

"Like mate, or pal, or... you get the picture."

The awkward silence was broken with the elevator's distinct ding! Sparrow observed the rest of the crew as they stumbled out of the doors. Patrick seemed to be confused about the current company, Emily seemed confused about her current whereabouts and Iceous seemed generally hungover.

"Can I help you?", said a strong female tone. It was the anchorwoman, Susan Daniels, "We were just about to begin scriping for our broadcast. If you've come to get on the show, you better be able to crap birds out of you as--"

"Sarah, that's your cue.", Sparrow winked to Sarah. She let her body engulf in flames, as the anchorwoman recoiled in horror, then stared awestuck.

"I'm Sparrow, and this is my travelling set of magicians. I was just wondering if we could get a spot on the show."

Samuel grinned. The poor woman didn't know what happened to her. She retreated, then looked with pure childish joy at the flames.

"How did you do that?" She asked.

Sparrow stepped up and told her it was the magician's oath. Never reveal your tricks. The woman nodded, and asked him what kind of tricks they could preform.

[Sparrow]

"Anything, dependant on our talents. Samuel here is the slight of hand man. He'll do things you won't believe. Sarah here is our firey goddess. Patrick can read your mind, and Emily here can track your every thought, saying, movement and slight word. I'm Sparrow, and I'm the bigshot of the crew. I do all the big tricks."

Sparrow then pointed to Iceous.

"And this is our manager, Greg Patterson."

Iceous seemed confused. Truth was, Iceous wasn't the best name to shout out on TV.

Sarah showed her flames to the woman, who was genuinely awe struck, and instantly turned the flames off. She looked down and noticed that she had slightly burned the carpeting of the womans office.

Oops.

Sarah looked back up to the woman and Sparrow.

I hope that she believes us.

 

[SamuelT]

"I think we can make room for you. We could scratch that Billy-ad, that would give you a sixty-minute window. You can make it in that time?"

Samuel was still sceptical about this. Sure, he could do some tricks. But preforming was an entire different matter.
