Sparrow looked behind him, facing toward the grunt he heard. Samuel seemed to be trying to get himself up.
Crazy bastard, probally thinks he can fight through the pain.
Sparrow patted Samuel on his leg, but he didn't seem to notice. Pulling out of the wreckage and destruction they'd just created, the Prototypes, or what was left of them, drove down the small road, sitting in silence. Sparrow turned to Sarah, who hadn't said a word since they'd left the remains of the hotel, and smiled as best he could.
That couldn't have been easy. I enforce alot of the descions in the group, but I never make them. Not that I can make them in my state.
Before he noticed, the beaten and battered Prototypes had arrived at their hotel. Sarah picked up Lydia, and Sparrow threw both Iceous and Samuel over his shoulder, who responded with appropriate grunts.
As the four Prototypes, plus one lesbian scientist, made their way up the stairs, it suddenly hit Sparrow that they'd lost a third of their team.
First Aesis. Now Patrick and Emily. We're slowly becoming extinct...
Sparrow, never one for thought, kicked the unlocked door to their room open, and slumped Samuel and Iceous down on seperate sofas. Sarah placed Lydia in the chair across from them. The TV flickered in the background, and the barely audiable news broadcast filled the room.
I can't believe I got out of that without single mark. Am I really becoming that useless?
