Prototypes: Super Hero RP (Finished)

[Sparrow]

Sparrow looked at the three new prototypes, standing near each other as if they were on show.

Some bright spark named Reece...

Sparrow chuckled at his own joke.

...a schizophrenic mind reader and that other guy.

Sparrow tried to think of a smart explanation of the least talkative of the new members, but didn't find one.

They seem normal for us I suppose.

Beckoning for the others to follow, Sparrow stepped out of the rubble and into the sunlight, only for several reporters to be surrounding them.

Bollocks.

 

[StarStruckStrumpets]

Rosa could hear a lot of clicks...press. She wasn't really expecting it, she had assumed that people like her were a closely kept secret. Obviously not. The hectic pacing of people asking for interviews was dreadful, and it nearly sent Alice into overdrive. She moaned and complained, the only person hearing was Rosa. More clicks, more microphones bumping her in the face. Alice was starting to get annoyed. She moaned and moaned, shouting the same thing over and over.

Rosa, I hate loud noise! Let me shut them up for you!

Rosa ignored her, but then had an idea. She looked and Sparrow. He was searching the media onslaught, trying to determine a clear path. It was obvious that they weren't going to get through without some trouble. The mass of energy in the crowd was blinding, a large blob of yellow, shifting in the darkness. Rosa clicked her fingers at Sparrow, he turned his head to look at her.

Would you like me to deal with them? I could uh...convince them of an even bigger story? Just tell me. It's getting Alice irritated. Maybe there could be a fire somewhere?

Rosa showed Sparrow a wink with her telepathy.

Sarah looked at the three new Prototypes curiously. Reese who used electricity, Rufus who could locate anyone, and Rosa, but Sarah didn't quite care for Rosa. She spent far too much time around Sparrow. Something that displeased Sarah.

Stepping into the sunlight Sarah felt the suns ray warm her body.

Its felt like ages since I've see you. Ah... I love this feeling of warmth.

Sadly, the moment of happiness passed as several reporters surrounded the group. Walking next to Sparrow she whispered to him.

"What can we possibly tell them?"

 

[Sparrow]

Sparrow turned to the two women, looking at him strangely.

Do a I have post-it note on my forehead or something?

Samuel stood next to him, looking around the crowd. Sparrow nudged him, and winked. He then grabbed his heart, and collapsed to the floor, pretending to have a heart attack.

It works in the movies...

 

[SamuelT]

"Oh my god! He's having a heart-attack! Please give him some room!" Samuel shouted, pushing people aside. He almost openly laughed at the faces of the reporters. The crowd edged back.

"Someone help me carry him to our car, we need to get him to a hospital!" He yelled further, grabbing Sparrow by his shoulders.

"Oh no..." Sarah said in a less than enthusiastic voice. She rushed over to the car and brought it around to the rest of the group.

Opening the doors she yelled for them to get in.

"Hurry up before he dies."

 

[SamuelT]

With the help of...Reg? Reed? The electric man Samuel dragged Sparrow to the cruiser. The crowd split for them when the carried the mock-limp body past them. Once every Prototype was inside the cruiser, with Iceous behind the wheel, they drove away. Samuel laughed. It had been long since he 'pranked' anyone.

Confused, Rufus clambered into the car along with everyone else.

"Well, this is novel." With a start, Rufus noticed a particularly keen reporter rush up to the vehicle, seemingly uncaring for the supposed "victim" in the car. "Such brutality. He shall have to be dealt with."

Rufus stared at the oncoming cameraman, only for a moment, before looking away. As Rufus turned, the journalist's face visibly slackened. His eyes seemed to suddenly empty, and all his vigour seemed to be drained from him. He dropped to his knees and buried his face in his hands.

Guilt can be a ghastly thing, Rufus thought with a smirk.

For those who are confused (if there is anyone), one of my character's abilities is to inspire emotion. A bit abstract, I realise, but I think it could be interesting.

 

[Sparrow]

Sparrow laughed for a bit, the new three sitting awkwardly whilst he did so silently. He then lifted his arms up to put behind his head, narrowly missing hitting two of the new prototypes. Trying to find enough space, Sparrow pulled out his notepad, and passed a note to Samuel.

I reckon we need a second car.

 

[SamuelT]

"I can make one if needed. Give me specifics, and you'll have it." Samuel said. Sparrow suddenly started to write and sketch on his notepad, and he regretted his one sentance already.

 

[Sparrow]

Handing Samuel the sketch of the Mini with a Great Britain flag on top, Sparrow smirked. Sarah stared over Samuel's shoulder, raising an eyebrow.

Oh, c'mon. It's not that camp is it?

"I'm just surprised that you didn't draw something crazy... like the Mach Five from Speed Racer."

Sarah looked at the sketch and smiled.

"I don't think that we'll all be able to fit in this thing. Why don't we just get a SUV or a van of some sort."

 

[Sparrow]

Sparrow handed Sarah a different sketch of a Dodge Viper, to which she returned a blank expression.

If we get married, I'm going to have to roam about in a damn SUV. What about my years of street cred?

 

[Masika]

Razi waited patiently. Whatever Doc was doing, it was with one of the few powers that Razi herself did not hold. The fight that was held in the rubble not too long ago stil put her on edge. She wanted that Sarah woman dead. 'Sacrifice is always a nice touch, but it does nothing for me when I cant kill you myself.'

Suddenly, car tires squeeled in the distance and Razi turned to look. She looked closely at it and her vision zoomed in and picked up the prototypes inside. "There's more of them." Her anger level began to rise and she wanted Doc to hurry back to her.

 

[Time Travelling Toaster]

"OK," blurted out Reese, "now we're safer than before, could someone explain what's going on here?" he asked as he shuffled about trying to get more comfortable in the cramped vehicle.

He looked out the window at the passing scenery, it was then he noticed he hadn't actually seen outside in years and so much had changed. 'Need to get to a library and see what happened in the last god knows how many years' he thought to himself sighing.

 

[SamuelT]

"Short Explaination. You've been made into a super human." Samuel said, tearing up a drawing of a seventies-style van from Sparrow.

"You three and the rest of us are from different tests. We've been created in russia, you've been created here. A small while ago, another one like you escaped and blew up the building. She teamed up with an...unstable one, named Doc. They see us as enemies, and are intent on either capturing or killing us. So far, they killed two of the Russian batch." Samuel said.

"I guess you've been imprisoned for five years, perhaps a bit less. It's 2009 now. The American's recieved the information after we destroyed their first facility back in Russia, which is five years and some months ago."

 

[Sparrow]

Sparrow handed Samuel another picture, this time a pencil copy of the A-Team van, at the same time leaning over and handing Reese a note.

[Dorian]

Iceous turned around in his seat.

"Hold up Samuel. Wasn't Aesis killed by Doc too? By those assholes working for him in the power plant?"

Iceous frowned and licked his canines, an obvious sign he was thinking.

"Or am I just getting old and making up memories?"

 

[Time Travelling Toaster]

"So...let me get this straight," says Reese quizzically, "we've been endowed with powers, and now are getting hunted down by another two of the same ?" Reese scratches his head trying to make sense of all this, he looked at the bit of paper one of them gave him, "not really, I think I get what's going on," he says biting his lip, "only one question, what does everyone have as a power anyway?"

 

[Sparrow]

Sparrow sat back in his chair and crossed his arms.

That's right, rub it in. I haven't got any powers at all...
