During their journey from land to land, Sander looked around, his fellow comrades destroying everything around him. He started jumping from one leg to the other, almost causing the boat to fall upside-down.
"One mouse, two mice, three, four! Fun, fun, fun!"
Sander's eyes were wide open once again, completely fascinated by the destruction around him. The splatter and decapitation of the men in the helicopters amused him. This was also the first time he got a glimpse of Samil's powers.
"Like a baby on a conveyor belt on its trip to a bath full of blades!" Sander yelled out, now holding the ship steady, but slowing down its speed. In a graceful arc, he raised himself onto the bay, which was still far away, but which Sander managed to reach fairly quickly. On purpose, he flew towards a big house, and as soon as he was about to hit the wall, the building collapsed away from him, like it had been hit with a force unimaginable from his side. He walked over the ruins, noticing a lone man running away.

He turned around towards his comrades, only to hear a bone-crunching noise behind him.
He started yelling: "Where should we go?! That's a great question. It'd be cool to, you know, find some shelter somewhere, let the situation calm down, and then strike soon again. Eh?" he said, already pulling the ship to the bay faster than the pathetic engine could ever manage.

After hearing through the Russian's suggestion, he nodded to himself.
"Yes, we might as well."
His previous weirdness seemed to have gone away, as soon as the rampant destruction around him stopped, replaced now by the far cries of panicking civilians.
He jumped onto the boat.
"Well, let's go, fellows."

Sparrow pulled into the drive at a good fifty miles per hour, slapping on the emergency brake as he neared himself ploughing the car through the garage. He threw the door open, stumbling as he tried to exit the car at speed. Samuel was nowhere to be seen, not that Sparrow's attention was drawn to anywhere else except his front door.

He fumbeled with his keys, trying to check each. He found the key to his gym locker, his personal chest, the backdoor, the sidedoor, the greenhouse door, and finally, the front door.

"Note to self, get two keychains."

Opening the key to the house, Sparrow through the door open with force strong enough to kill a small animal. He ran through the house, stopping himself at the living room door. Rosa, Reece, Sarah and even Chewy were there, looking up as he stood in the doorway, out of breath.

"Sorry, traffic was a pain in the arse."

Rufus stared at the destruction that was visible from their boat, and let out a sigh.
So far, everyone else had had a chance to use their powers to cause mayhem and death, but being limited to damaging things he could touch, he had to simply watch the others having fun and try to take comfort in that. "So... now we run to hide... to strike again another time, and set them reeling... to purge mankind of the weak..."
Rufus turned from the burning vista of the wounded city, and turned to gaze off across the waters, waiting for the boat ride to end.

Nikolai looked at the remains of the city, now somewhat away. He reached down, touching the surface of the water. His hands felt the cool water and he felt at peace, knowing that what he is doing is for the greater good.

It was raining ashes, and still would be for at least a day or two. By the time it's over, the entire city will be covered in a thick blanket of ash and radioactivity.

He was already gathering radiation from the area, slowly letting his strength return. He stood up, coughing loudly, sounding like a very, very sick old man, who probably smoked all his life.

"Now, let's look for a possible hide out. We should find something, at least."

They had been going along the coastline to what Sander figured was south-west, when they hit a port. Quickly passing it with Sander's assistance, the next moment, the boat suddenly turned to the right, as land was farther than it had been before. In under a minute, the boat had reached the shore, with most of the inhabitants of it wet due to the boat's speed.

"Well," Sander said, looking out towards the horizon.
"That building there's perfect!"
He grinned, as the huge flag flew out of its position, into the air.
"What a huge flag," he said, looking back at the rest of the group.
When his vision reached the Russian, the flag momentarily disappeared, as Sander started laughing out loud. It soon reappeared, now much bigger than it used to be, and a bit closer to them.
"Hey, more fun for the family, right?"

Samuel could still make out the faint glow of the explosion in the distance. This all felt wrong. He suddenly noticed that he was nearing home and breaked, leaving markings all over the street behind him. He got off and entered the house quietly. The door was almost hanging off its hinges anyway.

"Hi." He said when he saw the rest.

"Somethings happened and I just wanted to make sure that you were all fine." Sarah hugged Sparrow, relieved to see that he was okay. When Samuel arrived she immediately hugged him as well.

"Everyone is safe. Good."

After hugging Sarah, Sparrow hugged Reece and Rosa, something he only did on very special occassions. However, he only gave Samuel a manly handshake. Even he didn't think their bromance had extended far enough into hugs.

"Man, this is crazy.", he whispered to himself, staring at the news reports on the TV, "I know it might seem childish, and probally ridiculous, but-- that's a nuke, isn't it? I mean, a proper nuclear blast."

He took in a deep breath, trying to calm himself.

"What a day."

Samuel laughed when Rosa asked her question.

"Don't worry. We're not going to check out the crater of a nuclear bomb." He said, trying to be reassuring.

He was silent for a second.

"Well...maybe. Perhaps."

Sparrow looked at him with an astonished face.

"What? I'm curious."

"Well, you might want to wait for all that fallout to leave. Which could take a while."

Sparrow then turned to Samuel, with his curious face on.

"Unless of course, you have some kind of plan."

"I suppose I could..." Samuel said, trailing off into thought.

But then he remembered that this wasn't his life anymore.

"Sarah, do you want to take a look? Or me to go and see?"

Sarah looked at everyone and was quiet for a few moments.

"Sure, I'll take a look. And you're right Rosa, you're not going."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!", Sparrow said, stepping infront of the living room door, "How about none of you enter the crater full of radiation? Doesn't that sound like a good idea?"

After recieving a few defiant looks, Sparrow turned to Chewy.

"You can't go either."

"In all fairness...how can we get more messed up than we are already?" Reese asks groaning.

"Ya know...don't answer that, I don't want to imagine one of us with an extra head on top of what we can do already.." he trails off, "what can we do about it then?"

"Well, I'm the only one who'd be able to handle the heat that that thing let off. If any of you go near it then you'll melt. You are right about that whole 'radiation' thing go."

Sarah looked at Sparrow, and shrugged. "Do we just leave it alone then?"

"We, er-- well, we're going to..."

Sparrow paused for a few seconds. This really wasn't the time or the place to be discussing what he was thinking of, but it was definately relevant. Even he had to admit that there was something curious about a seemingly random nuke landing on-top of New York.

"Samuel-- I don't suppose I could, y'know, go down there? In my current state, that is."
