As some of you may know, I just recently bought a PS2 again and am currently rebuilding my PS2 collection

I need some recommendations as to what games I should get or what I may have missed before.

This is my current list of games:

Castlevania: Lament of Innocence
The Suffering
Indigo Prophecy
Jak and Daxter
Jak II
Jak III
Ratchet and Clank
Shadow of the Colossus
Devil May Cry
MGS 1,2 and 3
Resident Evil 4
DMCII
DMCIII
Ico
Rez
Soul Calibur 2 and 3
Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2
Okami

And here are the games I'm currently looking for:

-Shadow Hearts
-God Hand
-Gun Grave
-Shinmegamitensei
-Ico
-Dark Cloud
-Ratchet & Clank
-Shadow of Destiny
-GTA Vice City
-Way of the Samurai
-Guitaro Man
-Baulder?s Gate: Dark Alliance I and II

So...anything I missed?

If you don't mind JRPG's, Tales of the Abyss is pretty good. Except for the shitty loading times, that kinda sucks.

DMC3? Getting 2 and not 3 is just stupid - especially 'cos 2 is the red-headed step child of the series.

If you're in an area which can get it, Kingdom Hearts RE:CoM would goe well in your collection. Resident Evil 4 would be decent, Zone of the Enders 1+2, MGS 2+3, God of War 1+2...

Where the fuck is God of War? and Timesplitters?!

Also, GTA:SA & Tekken 5.
Oh I forgot to mention, I sold God of War 1 and 2 before and got the collectors thing on PS3

If you're going to get Dark Cloud, make sure to get the second one too. Haven't beaten it yet (due to someone overwriting my data... :[ ), but it's definitely a great game. You might also want to get the MGS series.

Killzone
Persona 3 FES
Okami
Echo Night: Beyond
Urban Chaos: Riot Response
Soul Nomad & The World Eaters
Freedom Fighters
Cold Fear
The Thing

Those are the games I consider essential for any PS2 collection.

I would add Beyond Good & Evil to that list. I see you have Shin Megami Tensei on there, I'm guessing that means Persona, Nocturne and Digital Devil Saga, all three would be must haves for me.

Katamari... both of them.
Burnout 3 and Burnout Revenge - the last outstanding entries to the series.
GTA San Andreas - The last outstanding gta.
Ribbit King

I'm just surprised you haven't gotten a ton of useless "use the search" comments. I'm sure they're coming.

I'd have to disagree. Tales of the Abyss is actually my least favourite in the series. Perhaps Tales of Legendia, though.

Rogue Galaxy. That is all. Made by the folks who brought you Dark Cloud.
And a whole lot better than Dark Cloud.

There also needs to be some Psychonauts on that list. As has been said, Beyond Good and Evil is also a great choice. Also, while it's not the best game, I had a lot of fun with Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus.

Yeah, i would definitely suggest "The Thing" and "Mercenaries", and pass on DMC2.

I think i actually had more fun with "Mercenaries" then i did "GTA: SA". There were some real nice action settings in there. Too bad MERCS 2 got screwed up so badly.

Don't feel too bad. We have The Saboteur to make up for it.

To each his own I guess.

And fuck yes, the entire Sly series is great. Definitely some of my favorite PS2 games.

God of War I and II for sure. Anyone who's seen me in the forums has probably heard me continuing to praise it over and over again. Also, Burnout 3 is a fantasticly fun game, and I hate racing games, adding crashes to the gameplay helps, a lot.

This is what i've heard! I haven't had the chance to pick it up yet. With Pandemic closing down *sniff*, and given how the Saboteur seems to have really flown under the radar/gotten little publicity, i'm just waiting for it to show up on the cheap before picking it up.

I'm looking forward to the experience, though, bittersweet as it may be!
