PS3 - 250 vs 120?

Yes it's me again..

Now i'm wondering which one to get. The 120 gb slim or the 250 gb slim.
250 GB seems like a lot of storage and the other one i like 70$ cheaper.

But i'm pretty lost in this area. Which one should i get?

120GB, save the money now and upgrade to a 750GB when you need the extra space.

How? I live in Denmark so finding an extra HD is hard.

Yes.
PS3 games need to install before you play them, just like a computer.

Do they seriously charge that much? I don't know where the best source is for component prices, but take a look around and see what it costs. If upgrades are that expensive and the 250 saves you money, then get it, but I'd imagine that's not the case.

you might do. remember PS3 has to do installations for all games. i don't know how big they are but eventually it will probably fill up.

No you won't. The installations are like 3-4 gigs and I don't think you'll have that many games. I don't know about that Fallout DLC that someone commented on earlier how big is it?

EDIT: Get the one with backwords compatiblity, I think that one is either 80 or 120 gigs.

The files really arent that big, i have an xbox 60gb and i've had no problem downloading DLC or Demos, just buy the 120gb and use your extra money to buy more games.

120 gb. I have loads of demos movies and games and its only half full. Use the money you save to buy a game. And If your HDD ever gets full, just delete something.

I've had a PS3 for about a year and a half and opted for the prole friendly 80 GB option. I have yet to make a significant dent in the allotted space.

I say opt for a little more work and locate a used 60 gb one for hardware emulated backwards compat on 80% of ps2 library. Its harder, but in most cases will cost about the same, does more and as the guy above mentioned its hard to really really use that much space. Extra HD space is kinda irrelevant when you can A: exist on smaller hard drive and B: if push came to shove you could change out the drive size on your own.

EDIT: Personally I wont buy a new PS3 until they restore ps2 backwards compatibility in the slim model, there is no excuse for it to not be present now that the technology has progressed a step.

Beyond that if your hell bent on buying new.. save yourself the money. Extra HD space you wont likely use would buy you a new game.

You wont need it if it just for games, so 120 is fine but if you like putting movies and shit on it, 250 will be nice but 500gb is best

maybe get the cheaper one and if you ever need the space you can always install a new one,I have a 500gb hd in mine and 300gb is movies so its nice to have the space if you plan to use it as a multi media device

120GB is all you need. 250GB is overkill, unless you save every single demo you download or keep all of the data from games that you don't play any more. All that space should last you until the next PlayStation, I assure you.

I have the 120GB console and it suits me fine. It all depends on how many downloadble games, music etc you're planning on storing on the device. If you want to keep lots of films etc on it then I would recommend the 250GB version as some Blu-Ray games require installation and can take up quite a bit of space. But honestly, the 120GB has done me fine and I have like 6 Blu-Ray games installed on it, 2 downloaded games, Playstation Home and various other bits and piece and I still have like 70GB left.

The backwards compatibility is the original PS3.
