Get a headset if you plan to play online, but for the love of god don't get the Giotek one, it's makes my ear sore, maybe I just have crazy ears. Also remember you can't change your online name, so choose wisely. Mine's my dreadfully boring name here, nicole1207. I feel inadequate next to all the epic names I see.

I would expect you to get hit on or have sexual insults thrown your way (With a female name.)

Oh I've had the works, one guy even sent me a message with a photo of his penis attached. Seriously. But, you know, boys will be boys. I just laugh it off or ignore it. Most of the time the people just tell me how the fact I have an english accent is sexy, and that I can deal with. Then I just talk more and therefore win more.

OT: Another thing, look on the internet for cheaper extra controllers, because they are bloody expensive.

Demon's souls is fun, especially if you like farming and good ol' hack'n'slash rpg

As for PSN, it's fine, you can even stream netflix by the end of this month and downloads to look for are Flower and Linger in Shadows.

Also, beware of games that display sixaxis as a selling point, it works sometimes, but most games use it as a gimmick that doesn't really work.

Thats just sad. Almost as sad as all the times I get asked out on Playstation Home when I use a female avatar.
Only 1 person on my list is a female. It was hilarious in Rainbow Six Vegas in the chopper, me and 2 other guys full outfitted with tactical gear and she was in Camo pants and a Tank top. She was an excellent shot aswell.

I know, I couldn't quite believe it at first but GOD that guy must have been lonely.
I always make my characters scantily dressed women, I think its adds to the effect when I kick ass. Rockband for instance, I have never lost when singing online, despite guys choosing stuff like Machine Head, Iron Maiden, Faith No More. etc.

I think my Rainbow Six person is dressed in similar clothing, I think with a hat of some kind.

OP: I suggest you get PS3 exclusives. (As few as they are) They're actually pretty good, or so I hear. But I suggest you keep the 360 and if you feel like buying a multiplatform game then buy it for the 360 to save money.

Gamestation are doing a 250GB PS3 Slim with Assassin's Creed 2, Mirrors Edge and COD4 for 284.99.

As for games Uncharted 2 and LittleBigPlanet will keep you entertained, as will Flower on PSN.

Don't sell your 360. I have both, and every multiplatform game I've played is significantly better on the 360. Don't take that as my telling you to not buy a ps3, because the exclusives are awsome (I'm particualary a fan of MGS4 and I'm really excited about demon souls), The PS3 exclusives I have are far better than my xbox 360 exclusives. So, basicially, I wouldn't sell the 360.

What I hate more is when people play online to "practice".
I'm sorry but if you cant complete a song on Medium you should not be playing it online.
For someone to actually do that though...that really is pathetic. If only PSN had a ban system like XBL.

Haha I love Rock Band with a fiery passion. I usually play on Expert but Hards pretty fun too.
I just sent him a message back saying 'Unimpressed'. I think he got the idea. I hope he sends it to a child one day and gets convicted of child abuse.

In terms of exclusives, I still spend a lot of time on Metal Gear Online (the online mode of MGS4, in case you didn't know) - it is a very satisfying game, despite some fucked up problems... specifically, the fact that everyone lags to some extent. However, providing you find a host on the same continent as you, and most/all the players are on the same continent, you probably won't notice it.

Killzone was sweet, but I haven't been on it in a while. In terms of multiplayer gaming, I prefer Resistance 2 and MGO.

Um how exactly do you do that? Is there some exchange program where you can make money by playing on XBL? Cause if you end up having to pay a monthly fee, then won't the 360 game cost more?

OP: Ok listen I have a PS3, and I love it. The exclusive are great, the blue ray is nice, and the online community isn't perfect, but I have yet to see one that is. Now I have nothing against the 360, it is a fine system, and I am sure you would be just as content with it as you would be with the 360. But it does seem kind of, well, silly to be playing games on the PC and own a 360. Because from what I have heard, almost every cross PC 360 title is better on the PC, at least that is what I have been told be all of my friends who have 360 and PC games.

Just to make this clear, most Ps3 exclusives are vastly overrated, especially Infamous and most PSN titles.
The Ps3 is very much worth it, it has some great games and unlike XBL our Netowrk is full of Racist arseholes or little pricks (There are some, but nothing compared to XBL).
Exclsuive wise you need to pick up Resistance 1 and 2, MGS4 (even though I traded it in for Mw2, it is a great game)Ratchet and Clank Tools of Destrution and Crack In Time (Quest for booty was really weak)Batman Arkham for the exclusive DLC. If your going tobuy a Ps3 might aswell sell your 360, you have a PC so the 360 isnt really needed, plus you can rebuy MultiPlats or pay for Exclsuives with the extra cash.
For PSN titles go for Savage Moon, Trine and Shatter. But AVOID Fat Princess at all costs, same with Infamous and Killzone 2.

Woahhh, what's wrong with Killzone 2 man? I mean, sure, the plot is a massive heap of shit but its the best looking game on the PS3, the gameplay is rock solid and the online is excellent.

The gameplay is average and the online has one of the worst spawn systems ever. Its way too easy to spawn camp in Kz2.

Especially that one where you start in a shower/locker room. Cant remember the name of the map. It's like a school sort of thing. If you can get everyone to the 1 door leading out of the spawn point your set. So badly designed.

the ps3 is great for single player games and if a game comes out for both systems it usually runs a little smoother and looks a little better on the ps3. however i wouldnt get rid of your 360 if you are into online gaming. it may cost money to play online with the 360 but it is definetly worth it as its way better than the ps3 online. some great ps3 exclusives are: the resistance series, heavenly sword, mgs4, the motorstorm series, the uncharted series, infamous, the ratchet and clank series, and make sure you dont miss out on the upcoming games god of war 3 and heavy rain. also if you havent beaten god of war 1 and 2 for the ps2 i suggest getting the god of war collection.

Ya know, I kinda disagree with people here. Not about the PS3, it's an awesome console. Not about the exclusives, whoever mentioned Ratchet and Clank is a God (although I thought inFamous was really good as well). But, PSN games all sucking? Screw you guys - THEY HAVE FFVII. If he's playing the single-player multiplatform games like Bioshock, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Dead Space or Prototype then the price of online play is irrelevant.
