Also, to the majority of people in this thread: Stop pretending that MGS4 was anything more than a thinly disguised third person shooter which completely failed at making stealth a main factor. It had a retarded plot that tied up every plot twist with nanomachines and the ending sequence was so boring and tedious that it made me want to die. MGS4 should have been the best game ever, MGS3 being the current best game ever, as it had everything going for it. But no, nanomachines and moustaches for everyone.
Resident Evil 5 is ok but, like MGS4, should have been so much better (RE4 being the 2nd best game ever) and again like MGS4 the ending made me want to die.

Right now I'm truly enjoying Valkerie Chronicles and Disgaea 3, both I picked up for $15 at Best Buy.

Other titles I've really enjoyed on my PS3...

Fallout 3
Oblivion
Dynasty Warriors 6 (though Warriors Orochi 2 on 360 I like more)
Heavenly Sword
Overlord
Eternal Sonata
Dark Kingdom
Hot Shots Golf
Hawx

I'm sure there's more, but a lot of the bigger titles I haven't played yet. I almost never buy a game until it drops to under $30.

Also Guitar Hero III, World Tour, and Metalicca. Played GH3 and WT on 360 and WT also on Wii and think they all play best on PS3. Except for exclusives, I usually get multi-player games on 360, mainly due to best friend prefering to play on it since his is always out being repaired, but GH and RB will always be on PS3 from now on.

And as for MGS4, still haven't played it. Waiting for the price to drop some more. And if it doesn't... oh well.

Jeez I couldn't report you enough. Yeah a lot of games are multiplatform, hence why a lot of people are recommending exclusives. Please stop flamebaiting this thread. If you feel so strongly that the PS3 has no good games that aren't available already on the PC then go start your own topic and leave this one be please.

Sure, MGS4 could have been better, but strutting around this forum like a failtroll doesn't make your opinion any more valid than Jack Thompson's.

As for the OP, I recommend that you check out Condemned: Bloodshot, Street Fighter 4, Rock Band 2, and MGS4 (if you're already familiar with the series).

Start out with the exclusives that has been listed, then work your way to the multi-platform. Well, At least I'm recommend that.

You didn't point out any great games though.

WipeoutHD : amazingly hard and very worthwhile and runs at a native 1080p (hardest platinum for me to date)

MGS4 : if u play the game on more than a casual level you will lose yourself in the depth unlike what spaz was saying which is just his opinion which is fair enough. and its visually stunning from beginning to end

valkyria chronicles : is very reminicent of the old school xcom games, also visually stunning

Fallout 3 : sheer volume of things you can do aswell as great humour makes up for a lackluster main story

uncharted : good wholesome nonstop fun

R & C : ditto

the ps3's library has come forward in leaps and bounds, shop around because the best ones tend to disappear fast, apart from FPS's

and spaz dude grow up man the "pc makes better games arguement" grew old 10years ago at a time where pc's could boast about having better everything and yes they still do but these days consoles use textures something pc heads years ago thought was there ace in the hole ...and yet people buy consoles... or maybe its a conspiracy that you have unwittingly found yourself in. oh and i pc game aswell

also if pc gaming is so amazing and console is so stagnant why is the best selling pc game WOW a game that graphically can be matched by a barcode battler. because gaming isnt all about having more power than the skynet supercomputer its about having fun rather than having a pissing competition. i dont like wow much but i dont think its crap its just not my cup of tea. see that amazing eh i can not like a game and not be an ass about it at the same time.

Resistance 2, the online co-op mode is so much fun.
Little Big Planet, I'm addicted to it.
Ratchet and Clank, I'm a huge fan, one of the main reasons I decided to get a PS3.
Killzone 2, pretty fun, better than I thought it'd be, multiplayer is like a realistic Team Fortress 2.
Metal Gear Solid 4, if you're a fan of the series.

I'm hoping to get Noby Noby Boy and Fat Princess eventually, too.

OH! I was just thinking of exclusives. If you only get one game, make it Fallout 3. That game is awesome wrapped in win and coated with a layer of epic.

And the Orange Box, which may not be getting DLC (360 prolly won't either) but is still worth it since Half Life and Portal are awesome.

Alright everyone, thanks for all the suggestions since a lot of people have replied to this thread I'm going to go with the games that a lot of people recommended, and that would look like this

inFamous
Little Big Planet
Killzone 2
Resistance 2
Folklore (Maybe)

As for the rest I'll have to try them out, by renting them at my local blockbuster.
