They won't be coming out with a PSP 2 for a long time. As a matter of fact some time next year or at the very least, near the end of this year, the PSP 4000 model is due to come out. What they will implement in it I do not know, but sony does not plan on a PSP2 for at least another 2 years. I have had my 2000 for a year now and I couldn't be happier with a big library of games that I love an enjoy, and at least a dozen future games that I am looking forward to.
(I got a nice big list of games on a word file somewhere in case anyone is interested in some future releases)
Now as for features in the PSP2 if and when it comes out?
-2 analog sticks is a given and will be implemented due to the amount of bitching sony has heard.
-Internal memory for game saves...somewhere around 4-8 gig's would be nice, maybe more
-backwards compatibility I hope, if not, give us the ability to register our UMD games and give us a means to save them on memory sticks so we are able to play our old games.
-Touch screen. I wouldn't mind it, but I wouldn't care if they didn't put it in.
-Blue tooth wireless and better connectivity, maybe a longer radius
-licensed home brew. Let people submit their ideas and USE them sony!!
-Better web browser with flash support able to play youtube. This is what i would LOVE for my PSP and would truly make it complete for me
-use the RAM, although I see this happening in the 4000 perhaps. Right now it 64mb, 128 or 256 would be more than enough for web browsing and games.
-Updated graphics is probably a given even though they are pretty damn good right now
-The rest would be firmware updates but I would love a function that allws you to play your music while playing a game.
