I've just finished my first console game, a PSP game, and I want to buy another one. I play some casual games on the computer sometimes, and I had a great time playing with the PSP. Has anyone played any good PSP games or one that stands out that deserves particular mention?
I'm up for most PSP games, although I'm not a fan of racing, RTS, turn-based games, or FPSs.
*edit* I won't play any M-rated games, because of my parental units, besides, I don't usually see the appeal of overly sexual or violent games. And I will play turn-based RPGs only if they are really, really good.

The God of War PSP games are rather well done. I've also heard the Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker is very good.

I'll try god of war.. possibly. If my parental units allow me to. As for Peace Walker, well, I'll say I want my parental units to be as absent-minded as the AI in that game.

Medieval: Ressurection (Misspelled probably)
The Ratchet and Clank games on it
Dissidia: Final Fantasy
MOnster HUnter Freedom Unite
Coded Arms if you want a FPS
Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core
Jak & Daxter: Lost Frontier.

Those are my faves on the PSP. Besides Project Diva 2nd. But you'd have to import that.

Sid Meier's Pirates!

Please, please get this. It's basically a game of minigames anyway, plus it happens to be awesome.

Man, over these past weeks, I've really been able to mention random crap about a 4 year old game.

So, Persona 3 Portable. Why?

ROBOT JESUS. That is all.
Anyways, asides what I've been raving about for 30 posts, you could also get Peace Walker and Lumines 2. Those are the only games I know of on the PSP, asides Crisis Core. But everyone else has already said that.

Rent Monster Hunter, it's not for everyone but if you really enjoy it after your first Yian Kut Ku you'll be unable to put the game down.

Isn't that M rated? My parental units won't let me play any M-rated games.

I recommend a Nintendo DS.

I joke. Don't want to come off as a dick. Pick up Blazblue. Best fighting game I've ever played

Righto. Ok, Lumines then, because all of Sony's games that are good, are usually T-M. So, if you want good PSP games that are below M, you're pretty much screwed with the PSP.

Disgaea 1 and 2. It is turn-based combat, but it's a tactical strategy game very similar to Final Fantasy tactics with some great puzzles to boot. Don't ask much of the stories, though. They're terrible in that department.

While I love D&D, I don't like how easy it is to switch alignment in D&D: Tactics. I started Lawful Good and now I'm Lawful Evil and I don't even know why.

Recommendations are easier when we know what type of games you like to play. Anyway, from what wasn't mentioned yet...

Final Fantasy: War Of The Lions (FF: Tactics redone)
Star Wars: Elite Squadron
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron
Disgaea
Patapon
Jeanne D'Arc

Plus, download Final Fantasy VII. Though you may need a memory card bigger than 2GB for that. I personally bought Sony's 16GB card. It's sold with the computer accessories rather than the video game accessories.

I've been thinking of picking up Monster hunter, but all the online reviews (ign, gamespot) intimidated me with mentionings of the game's difficulty. And.. I can't rent. Parental units does not rely on renting. Did you think the game was hard?
