It was a few years before the economic collapse, had my own place, job and lady so it would be a little weird getting hand outs!

If you want RPG then gop to DS. PSP is okay, but has a battery that dies after less than 5 hours. Simply awful. I have one, and it needs a new game to get it's appeal back to me. Like a certain Final Fantasy XIII PSP spin off? A kingdomm Hearts game? A new MGS? Something worthwhile, please!
They're coming out with a Kingdom Hearts game on the PSP...

I would recommend doing the research yourself and making a decision based on that. See how many games there are that you would want on a PSP rather than a DS. My brother has a DS Lite, and I have a PSP, both of which I enjoy (he lets me use the DS), so it's up to you.

I would say do not get the psp go. The only redeemable factor on the PSP is its homebrew and moddable content. The official games are trash, but it is a dream system for those who enjoy emulators and custom content. (Think snes, nes, ps1, gba, all full speed) I say if that sounds good to you, go for it. If not, dont bother.

PSP is not crap.

1. I can convert my original PS1 discs to play on PSP including FFVI, FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX, Chrono Cross, Vagrant Story, Xenogears, Grandia and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. As you can see that's just too much classic fun and nostalgia to let go of.
How do you do this?

Well up for Vib Ribbon from my uploaded music. Or Kurushi... I'm excited.

Get a DS. Lots of fun games, easy to play, Take it anywhere and not look nerdy

I'd wait fo the PSP Go if you really want one.

I owned a PSP and had Crisis Core and FF: War of the Lions. The PSP loses appeal very fast. The battery dies super fast too. I did buy a dsi and I love it. The battery is awesome and it has tons of final fantasy games. And Chrono Trigger. I would do the dsi to be honest.
psp is great it has 6-7 hours of battery life and it has many good games (like mhfu I liked them on the playstation but you can't win them all) it has good final fantasy games it has patapon and patapon 2 it has locoroco (1 and 2) and many many other games I would reccomend a psps over the ds (I have both and lots of ds games but I like the psp better)

Wait for a PS2, I bet you can have a lot more fun with it, also paradox is not what you think it is, it's a statement or multiple statements that contradict each other and lead to all of the solutions being impossible. The word you're looking for is dilemma.

Well todays My 22nd Birthday, and i been looking At getting a PSP(Yay for Birthday Money?), the system itself has many of the types of games Im looking For(rpg/Strategy), im Wondering if i should get one close to Now, or later, or wait for a psp2,
The PSP is crap.... I don't know weather the PSP 2 will be better but the PSP is not good.
well whats wrong with it?
If you lack a PS3, you won't get much use out of it. With the PSP Go coming out soon, UMD disks for it are going to become harder to find. If you really have your heart set on it, Final Fantasy Tactics is an excellent RPG/Strategy game.

I can't say much about the PSP 2, but I love my PSP and have for many years. And we love the same games so I'm going to make a list for you.

-Metal Gear ACID 1 and 2, their both really good strategy card games.
-Final Fantasy Tactics the war of the lions, a great turn based strategy game.
-Field Commander, if you've ever played Advanced Wars, then you will like this game.
-Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core, a great action RPG
-Y's the ark of Napishtim, a great port of the PS2 game of the same name, its an action RPG that has a great story, although sometimes it can be rather difficult.
-The Legend of Heros, if your looking for some good old school RPG fun like the early Final Fantasy games.
-Also Final Fantasy 1 and 2 have been ported on the PSP.
-Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, it just game out and I'm addicted to it. This action RPG has a steep learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, its awesome.
-Phantasy Star Portable, the first game in the series is ported to the PSP and its awesome, the battle system is something that we've all seen before, but the story will really keep you playing.
-Star Ocean the 2nd Evolution, its the sequel to the first star ocean game (you may have to track that one down since it was never ported to the PSP) and the story is really good in this turn based RPG.
-Valkyrie Profile Lenneth: Its an awesome turn based RPG set in the Norse Mythology universe, its very unique story and combat system will make you play the game long after you have finished it.
-Riveria:The Promised Land, a port of the game with the same name on the GBA, but the PSP version features more levels and anime style cut scenes. This turn based RPG is also very unique in its story and combat system.

Out of all of those the top three I would recommend the most would be....
-Valkyrie Profile Lenneth
- Metal Gear Acid 1 & 2 (I know its two games, but still their both way awesome.)
- Final Fantasy Tactics The war of the lions

On a side note their are some pretty good games coming out in the future that are rpg/strategy games.
-Persona, the original game on the PS1 is being ported to the PSP in September, which I can say will be awesome since I played the original on PS1.
-Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, A prequel to the kingdom hearts games and its an action RPG, I'm not really sure on the release date in the US, but I'm sure it will be out this year.
-Final Fantasy 13 Agito, its set to come out at the end of this year or early next year, its another action RPG.

I hope this list helps, if you have any questions about anything, please drop me a PM, since it seems I'm the only one who loves my PSP. Its great when I go on road trips since I have to because of my work. Its the next best thing to portable gaming against a good laptop, which I don't have.
