This'll probably make me sound derpy, but apart from saving games, what use would a memory stick be on a PSP?
Haven't seen many downloadable games I'd like to get, so I'd likely just use the memory to save games. Would I still need a stick for that, or will the console's own memory (if it has any) be okay for that?
I will add that a couple of games (Like Monster Hunter Freedom Unite) have "install" variants in addition to being available wholly digital.
UMD is a TERRIBLE medium; installing Monster Hunter cuts down the loading times by somewhere around 80% (not exaggerating), and I imagine that benefit isn't exclusive to MH.
Definitely look over the PSP store before committing to it; title availability is very hit-or-miss depending on your tastes and tolerance for atrocious 3D camera controls.
