The games we see running on the device in the video are actually not even official Sony-made emulations, rather, they are run on an unofficial App made for use on Androids.
Well then explain to me how the face buttons are used to control the game? If it's unofficial like the article says then how could someone have gotten the coding info, re-map buttons to work with the unofficial app, and use them on the PSPhone prototype? And if this is an official Sony product, why are they using a PS app rather than having their own setup for their own phone? Somthing doesn't add up. Either this PSPhone is fake and it's really just some engineer who remodelled a Sony Xeperia, or this is an official Sony product and they are just using the ROM Buddy app to showcase the face button compatibility. Something doesn't add up.Daemascus said:Guess again.AzrealMaximillion said:No, the article says that unofficial apps have been doing this for a while. My thoughts exactly. I use my phone to talk to people. There are a million other things I can play games on.Sovereignty said:Why do we need our phones to play games now...?
Really? Sony's denials makes you think that? Surely they would do that whether they were planned or not, making their denials completely unreliable for a call like that.Scott Bullock said:I can't help but wonder, are these "leaks" really leaks? Or are they Sony's clever way of hyping the phone to the public? The regular manner with which information is leaked, along with Sony's steadfast refusal to acknowledge them, speaks to me of a pre-planned attempt to stir up interest and chatter about the new phone.
Android 2.3 was updated to allow physical mapping of keys.Well then explain to me how the face buttons are used to control the game? Pee-Ess-Pee Phone?
Pee-Ess-Phone?
Pee-Ess-Pee... hone?
You pronounce it "N-Gage".
And...this. A multitasking product will always have less power than a dedicated product simply by virtue of technology available at the time.Sovereignty said:Why do we need our phones to play games now...?

..well - a ps1 emulator on a SE phone has been something people have pined for since the first smartphone with "Sony" on it.Asuka Soryu said:"Take that, you pirates!
