To be honest.... I'm having a hard time coming up with a time that I've gotten fairly punished.
The times that I've been blamed for something that I've done I've always managed to away clean.

But on the other hand, all times I've got caught and "punished", I've been innocent.
I guess this is what you call karma.

And yet people blame video games for shit like Columbine happening
People, especially bad parents, will blame anything but themselves. They tried to blame columbine on the matrix but the matrix wasn't even out then, so they turned to video games. "oh its them grand theft autos". No it isn't, seriously. Violent games are made to addict peopleto playing them, not influence them to commit crime. getting people addicted makes them money and they wouldnt make money if all their players were in jail

Thankfully I've never been punished for being the victim. The school I go to is rather decent, some mistakes but not alot.

Yes, I had a citation made in my name for being involved in a fight that was one sided. That fight however involved me being bashed in the side of the head with a skateboard and me doing nothing.

When I was younger, two of my teachers (my forth and sixth grade ones) molested me. I tried to tell my parents and they grounded me for "lying". The worst part is that my sixth grade teacher had told me "Tell whoever you like, nobody will believe you." She was right.

I never have, because the (thankfully) few times I have been drawn into a fight, I make it too quick to get out of hand, and too embarrassing for the other guy to run and tell somebody.

Holy shit! Did you tell the police or anything?! Seriously! No one believed you? My faith in humanity has now lowered. Again.

At my place of work (which will remain unnamed as "public ridicule or criticism" is considered a fireable offense) my locked locker was broken into and my class ring stolen, and I was made to apologize for being careless enough to be robbed. In writing, I might add.

My brother got in a fight after a kid slapped him for being bumped into.
My brother broke the kid's nose against a locker, and then proceeded to choke him out until pulled off by a teacher.
While he fought back, the other kid didn't get in any trouble, while my brother got a suspension.
That actually sounds perfectly reasonable.
I agree with you, plus it isn't exactly what the thread asks for. though he was a victim (kind of) he was punished for retaliation.
Uhm... If someone slaps me, I punch him in the face. I don't break his nose and try to kill him.

Seems like that brother should go to a head doctor. DAMN ANGER MANAGEMENT CLASS!!!

One of my former friends tried to get in a fight with me. I didn't fight back but left instead (the whole thing was pointless). Then after 2 weeks all of my friends turned their back on me. The reason I never learned, I didn't bother to ask, since they did that with such ease it means they are not worthy of being my friends.

I'm still kinda suffering the consequences, but it's ok, I'll survive :)

Some of friends have been date raped and then blamed or arrested when they went to the police. Since the schools looks bad when one of their students (especially and athlete) rapes someone, it's always easier to just hide it. One women I met managed to at least talk the school into giving her straight A's.

The worst example of being blamed for someone else's mistake is when the class president was nearly not allowed to graduate because the school didn't like his yearbook photo. Apparently all the editors and professional photographer didn't care until the last minute so they blamed him.

My senior year I dated a girl, and when things got complicated on account of her hiding things from me, broke it off. Her friends started accussing me of raping her. At first I thought they were joking, it sounded that crazy. But the whole year I had to listen to that crap.
Thankfully none of my friends believed it, but now I'm extremely hesitant to make any sexual advances on a girl, I don't wanna go through that again...

This happens perpetually in schools. Bullies never get set straight. Ever.
Bullshit they don't.
Sure they do, the day you catch one on his own. It's amazing what thirty seconds without air or waking up on the floor with an aching jaw will do to someone's outlook on pissing you (or your friends) off.

"Just ignore them, dear; they'll get bored and go away," is actually parent-speak for "I don't give a **** what they do to you now **** off."

.....

When I saw the thread title I was expecting something different:

In my school, if someone is coming at you with a knife, you have to turn around, walk away, and pass out from blood loss. Even if you put your arms up in defence, you have a chance of expulsion.
