Smoking Weed does NOT make someone a druggie. It's not a drug, it's a feckin' herb, it's no more of a drug than coffee. Just thought I'd clear that up.
Yes it does. The THC in marijuana(cannabis, hemp, etc.) is a drug. Just like the caffeine in coffee is a drug. If you say it's not a drug, then you're saying that nicotine and alcohol are not drugs.

Oh, it's also illegal... Just throwing that out there.

Sounds pretty much exactly like me at 16, although I highly doubt she's an alcoholic, drinking a lot and being an alcoholic are seriously different.
Kick them out, she'll party herself out and get a job, and have a fuck load of fun at the same time.

Dude, I really don't think that a gaming forum is an appropriate place to ask such questions...

Buuuut if you really want my opinion, I'd say to kick her out of the house for a week or more, see how she feels about it.

Yeah because you can totally overdose on weed and of course she is gonna die in a gutter because she smokes it.

She is a 16 year old girl what do you expect

No man, Injecting Smack makes you a druggie. Smoking weed just makes you a stoner, and that's only if you're dedicated to the stuff. Look, I'm not gonna go off on a huge rant, but it helps more than it harms. Fuck man, I'd be DEAD if I'd never started, as would more than half of the people I know.

Uhhhh...coffee contains caffeine, which is widely considered a "drug" by many pharmacological texts. "Drug" in this sense is any chemical that can alter the physical and possibly mental state of the user and is not necessary for living.

I agree. If her parents kick her out, then she will have to fend for herself. That should give her the "epiphany" her parents want. If she doesn't have any consequences for her actions then she will just carry on the way she is.
But isn't the parents guilty to take care of her and can be arrested for kicking her out?

EDIT: Oh didn't see that she were over 18, kick the witch out then! :p
She's 16, that's the dropout age where we live. I didn't know it was different elsewhere.

Well that is kind of tough. Understanding how much cant be done though. But she is old enough to drop out of school which means she is also old enough to be kicked out. Tell your parents to turn it into a legal matter. Make a restriction from entering their property until she is willing to sign a form saying she is willing to conform to the rules of her parent's house.

Sure it will be hard to work but it will put her into place, she cant do much if she is homeless.
As "evil" as your plan may sound, i may have to agree with you sir :p
I wish no parrent would have to come to that, but if it does, the parrents whom have already failed at parrenting this child, need to be able to take that step if they themselves believe it will help her..
things wary from person to person =)
Well thank you for agreeing with me. I just came to this for the simple reason that she wouldn't listen to family. If she doesn't want to listen to her parents then she must listen to the law and agree and pledge to listen and obey to enter her house. Some times you need to do some thing very rash to achieve results.

It's the parent's fault for not setting or keeping the boundaries they may or may not have set. Only got themselves to blame.

I have no idea what your definition of punishment is, but there is NO WAY the parents would get arrested for something like that. They need to discipline her, or kick her out of the house, not sit there pussyfooting around the issue and letting her continue to act like that.

You honestly think a dropkick like that is just going to stay on weed? She's already an addict and and alcoholic, and obviously has no self-control. I bet she'll be shooting heroin before she's 25. Just because you can control your drug use, doesn't mean a loser like this can.
Mwoah, remember she is a teen, teens do stupid things, i know i did. But I am still with Marq on this one. Some people need to be pushed to the edge first before they grow a brain and wise up or might as well Die before that happens. Either outcome is good in my book

Failure child must be removed from society. Military school if you have any positive feelings towards her, or the cold hard outdoors if you guys seriously don't care.

Perhaps failure parent must also be rebuked, or is it the fault of the failure friends? After all, the parents can't control everything.

After all, Peer Pressure Makes You Evil [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/PeerPressureMakesYouEvil].

Get her out from the parents for good, that is, after you get her to some kind of juvenile program. She needs immediate help in the form that a program can provide, and she needs long-term help in the form of getting her out of her parents care and possibly into a foster household, since the parents either enable her or are too apathetic

I am a fan of the trial by fire as well. You don't know what you have until you lose it.

Anyone saying give up and kick her out at age 16 after the parents messed up is crazy. So she is 16 and unruly? That's not uncommon. They need to set more solid guideline and show her items rights and privileges depend on behavior. I don't get all these pussy whipped parents. Call her bluff, does she really want to be put in foster care?

As for you, you should stay out of there business and stop being such a gossip.
