I put $10 on the Wii Shop Channel just so I could download one $2 on Rock Band 2. And I haven't even played it that much, I could have used it to buy the Undead Nightmare dlc for RDR instead.

But really Nintendo, is it so much to ask that we could deposit ANY number of Wii points so I don't have to spend an extra $8 on things I don't really want?

Halo: reach. I expected to be underwhelmed by it, but i bought it cuz i wanted to see where the story went and because all my friends were playing it. The campaign was decent, but too short to be worth 60 bucks, and after a depressingly small amount of time, I'm already back playing MW2 for multiplayer becuase of all the glitches that i run into in reach.

Killing Floor. Oh I love the game it's just that as I was downloading it off of Steam it went on sale for $10 cheaper than I had just bought it for.

It was worth the $20 though.

Mass Effect.

Boring. Just so boring. Couldn't bring myself to play beyond the first level.

Oh Thank God...

I bought the 360 version of Mass Effect on a whim. I figured that since everyone seems to consider it the greatest game ever released in terms of interactive storytelling, it couldn't be that bad (a lesson I apparently failed to learn from Fallout 3). I've played through the first Chapter, and I'm completely unimpressed. The menu's are really unintuitive, the combat is boring and repetitive, there are some really bad technical problems, the human models are just down right ugly, and the conversation system is really shallow.

I really don't see what all the hype is about...

Deinstalled it within 5 minutes <_<
Managed to sell it on ebay a few months ago.. half the money I got for it was spent sending it :(.
Baldur's Gate 2 had a second expansion? :(

I guess I missed it.

No, they were actually really boring. The gameplay itself. Mass effect and DA:O had wonderful storylines (from what I've heard), but the gameplay, although good, was just far too repetitive in DA:O's case, and just not satisfying in Mass Effect's. It seems like it should have been fun, and I can't figure out why I didn't find it so. This is my opinion, obviously :p
Advice for Mass Effect, try playing an Adept. If you want it to feel a bit more satisfying, it's quite fun to start throwing people around with Biotics. Go with Lift, Throw, and my favourite, Singularity, and you'll slaughter.

As for DA:O... Well, I loved the story, but even I haven't been able to force myself through a second playthrough.

On topic now, 187 Ride or Die. I got it for $4 at Wal-Mart for the purpose of wasting an afternoon and seeing how bad it was. In that sense I was satisfied I guess, but it's only gone in the console once, and out the window twice...

I'm an impulse buyer. I regret buying a ton of stuff in my life.

I regret buying my original Xbox(I bought it after the PS3 released, too). I rarely ever used it.

DragonQuest Sword... I was like "hey sweet, I need an rpg for my Wii, and I've never minded the DQ series, even though they have never been my favourite (too big of a FF fan to give DQ a chance even after the Square/Enix merger)."

1hr in... "Oh, this game is kind of fun"

6hrs in... "Oh wow, It really seems like I'm getting to the climax of the story"

8hrs in... "Wait.... that's the end? You mean to tell me the story was only 8hrs long? What a waste of money"

Dunno how you FPS fans can deal with a short story. I guess the Multiplayer usually makes up for that.
That doesn't really sound like instant regret, more like 8 hour in regret.

My ex, rectified that by leaving her on my b-day. Only good thing is she was free, but the ball pain was costly.

I feel your pain. I am a BIG front mission fan, but this game didn't even come close to being good.

L4D and L4D2, only noticed AFTER I bought them on steam that they don't support my video card.

At least I got a frying pan in TF2 because of it (At least I think that's where the thing came from...)

I knew that would be crap, as soon as they removed the turn based strategy rpg aspect of the previous games.
Would it have been so hard to keep the original gameplay style and the current graphics and not just try to rip off armoured core? >.<
