I would if it was good enough. If it managed to entice me, it could be fun. I've always liked Pokemon, but I haven't played (or bought) a Pokemon game in ages. If a MMO was made, I might give it a shot.

Possibly, depending on circumstances.

I'd play a Medabot MMO almost instantly, though.

On second thoughts this.... or maybe a Zoids MMO.

[sub]Robots are indeed neat ¬.¬[/sub]

As a fan of the originals (there are only 151 Pokemon in my heart, the rest can suck a railroad spike) I'd say I would be at least interested in seeing how it would play out. Depending on how they did it, I might be interested even if I'm a good deal older than the target audience at this point in my life.

I think this is a total no-brainer. I have no idea why there isn't already one out there.

It's got all the hallmarks of existing MMOs:

Crafting - you can become something other than a fighter/trainer.

Hunting - catching and trading your finds.

Market - a rich trade in training, buying and selling, and of items crafted such as health and whatever else.

Exploration - the world is there already, well detailed. I'd love to see it in fully rendered and more 'realistic' visuals.

Questing - obviously, the biggest draw for many mmo players, the ability to get a goodie out of a travel/fight. Again the world is rich with this.

So... really, I can't understand why it hasn't been done before now. I honestly haven't played more than the very first handheld thing, and even then it was years after release and borrowed from a friend. I know more about it from the comics and cartoon angle, really, but it seems to me that the whole thing is just RIPE for an mmo.

Yes. Fuck yes. Hell yes. GO EEVEE-LUTION TEAM!

Minus Umbreon.
what do you got agenst Umbreon?!

OT: i would love one! but i want a full 3D one, no random encounters, you see the pokemon walking around, you run up, you battle it (While people can watch) and you catch it. and a class system, you know, like good guys and bad guys.

It would depend entirely on the features for me.
If they made it and it was terrible.

Or pixelated...
I'd have to give it a miss.

I've really only been waiting for a Pokémon game that's willing to move on from the pixels.

Sure for the DS it works... I guess.
But I really want a game like pokémon with the graphics of the stadium games, that isn't like the one where you go around collecting dark pokémon...
That game was pretty awful.

I think this poll is worded in such a way as to be too extreme. I'd likely play a pokemon MMORPG, but I'm not "dreaming of one."

Sounds like it would be fun, but remember a lot of the fun in Pokemon is being the big hero who defeats the evil power, which would be lost in an MMO setting.

I'd sure as hell give it a try. Not sure if I would play it on a regular basis though.

i would only play it if it was on a portable system. actually i would be devastated if a main pokemon game came out on the wii.
