Anyone who picked option six needs to get a copy of Snake Eater NOW.

Or at least be encouraged to start the series in general.

I have only played parts of 1, Sons of Liberty, and VR Missions. I have never beaten an MGS game.

But Oh Golly do I want to!!!

I've enjoyed all of them, except for pokeGear (ac!d). 1 was probably my favorite, though. Because I am old.

Played 1, 2 and 4, and dear god did I hate every moment I played those games.

You may ask; why play them if you hate them?

Because I convinced myself, each and every time, that this has to get better. People love these games. The first MGS was one of the cornerstones of the PS1's early rise to dominance (along with FF VII, Resident Evil and Tomb Raider), so I was convinced that it just had to get better. I remained convinced of that right up 'till I just couldn't stand it any more.

Metal Gear Solid 2 was almost inflicted upon me against my will. A family member got me a PS2 for Christmas one time, and it was bundled with MGS 2. I had no other games to play over the Christmas - New Year season and forced myself to play it.

MGS4 was a rental. Once again, new generation of PlayStation, new MGS game, new resolve to try to like the series. After playing it for a while and twice checking the box to make sure I'd rented a game and not a low-budget CGI movie, I returned it before the rental period was up.

IMO MGS3 excels high above the rest. They're all great games but 3 is near perfect. The story isn't ridiculous and convoluted (unlike 2 and 4), The Boss is the greatest female game character I can think of, the atmosphere and setting is gorgeous, the voice acting, characters, combat, everything is top-notch

I actually liked Metal Gear AC!D more, but i guess it is a spin off series

Peace Walker is amazing, i loved "Portable Ops" and "Portable Ops +" and Peace walker being the improved polished game from those 2, its like the best put toguether

also, YOU CAN BUILD YOUR OWN METAL GEAR!!!

how cool is that???

daddy otacon, some mayor plots discovered and tied up, some closure for the killing of "The Boss" it has it ALL

and the story, even though it actually ties with the end of what happened to Big Boss between "Snake Eater" and the events in the first Metal Gear, (yeah, the NES one) is not that bad, considering MG4 had such a let down of a story.

good graphics, great controlls, amazing game mechanic, excelent plot and incredible story, i loved the "comic" parts where the game makes its exposition, also, capturing soldiers is more interesting and entertaining than in POPS

and the "CQC" actually makes sense.

so yeah, i loved Peace Walker.
