Can someone please explain this Hayden Christensen hate to me?
Hayden gets a lot of the abuse meant for George, but he did one thing very wrong.

He ruined one of the best bad guys ever.

The scene where Darth steps through the smoke in Star Wars is an iconic entry, followed by him choking the life out of someone with the neck grab.

That scene alone dominates anything in the prequels.

And then you realise that this is the guy who built C3PO, left his mother to die, had a tantrum because his wife died...and all the ominous fear drops out of that scene.

Anakin Skywalker is not only badly written but badly acted, and placed in scenes so dreadful that it looks like his entire life is set out to make him gain power purely through directorial mandate.

Now, a good actor would have taken that role and said "Well, if it's going to be that hammed up - let's start chewing scenery!" but Hayden doesn't. He plays it as a "real" boy - and that's not what's called for.

Basically Hayden killed Vader by making him human, and that's what a lot of people can't forgive.

Spiderman 3, and in a rare turn of events, I'd say remove Sandman (yes he was a potentially great character but not only did I find him the most poorly handled villain, though that might be just because he got the most time, but they tried too damn hard to force him into the story and be a bad guy, to the point that they tried to change canon. Yes, the director being forced to add Venom in probably ruined his vision, but something tells me he wasn't on the right track to begin with just based off of that) and change the story up a lot more so that New Goblin gets killed by Black Suit Spiderman (who no longer is emo, but the whole more powerful, but maybe at the cost of intense anger that borders on insanity, creating a nice callback to the Green Goblin that could be used to invoke the Those Who Fight Monsters trope, rather than general dickishness and idiotic dances), which causes his whole abandonment of the suit. Yes it would be much darker, but considering Spiderman had so far A: Created a situation in which some villain kills the men who were practically his father, the second one being his friend's dad B: let a villain die in his redemption rather than using his web powers and superstrength to accomplish the feat at a distance, and this movie was supposed to be about a dark version of the hero (plus, for a while, you're lead to believe he actually did kill Sandman, so I don't see as much a problem here), I think this would fit in just right. And with the Sandman scenes cut, and no more Goblin, you now could focus on making Venom more than just a cameo, as well as not have to remove the cool mask as much with the extra screen time.

The Lightning Thief. That movie made me want to cry. It barely followed the book and was just terrible the whole way through

I Am Legend. It would have actually been worth watching if they'd kept the ending they originally planned. Damned test audiences.

Star Trek '09. Not that I don't like Abrams' new little alternate reality, I just would've liked to stay in the original time line. No remake; stay true to canon.

Crystal Skull. It started so well. It just needs someone standing behind Lucas during production with a rolled up newspaper and a spray bottle.

Come on. No-one thinks to mention Transformers? Take Michael bay off the project, drop shia le buttfuck and wasshername and remake it to actually be ABOUT the transformers battling it out on Earth!
Dude, no one actually thinks those are movies. It's just Micheal Bay jerking off to Megan Fox and a bunch of CGI explosions. A porno for the technophiles with no sense of decency, you could say. It's not even worth looking at. I remember the cartoon show of Transformers. It, like Pokemon, existed only to sell toys and other such merchandise.

I would so remake Terminator: Salvation. I thought it started off well, very good CG and all and a decent plot to begin with, but it was a cop out at the end. And honestly, i was hoping that Christian Bail would take a bullet of something, cuz John Connor is supposed to die anyway...

Plus the first "human" terminator thing was pretty lame. I would have liked to see more fighting and less bitching and arguing. How bout a bunch of resistance fighters vs a couple of flyers or something.

And less annoying female support characters. Why must they always be irritating?! IS IT SO MUCH TO ASK FOR A FEMALE CHARACTER TO NOT BE ANNOYING AS HELL?!?! Like in the first two Terminators. Sarah Connor was a badass! AND she was good looking (sex scene aside)! Why are modern female characters nearly always helpless, annoying, or stupid?

I'd probably go for the matrix. I may even make some sequals, because they would be awesome. It's a pity they never made them.

Uhh... do you live under a rock or are you one of those "if it sucks it doesn't exist" types of people?

Serenity. Good movie, but I get the feeling it went in an entirely different direction to where the TV show was going.

Blood Rayne, I would obliterate that movie from the face of the Earth. That half aborted fetus should have been put down before it hit the screen.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Excellent up until the cop-out ending. God, that was a terrible pun.

But yes, I would change it so there's a giant epic battle, and something hilarious happened when they finally get the Grail, and then the movie ends. And everyone goes home satisfied.

I hope everyone who voted star wars was thinking of the new trilogy because there's no way anyone's going to improve the old one.

Also those (at this time) 14 people who voted fight club what would you change about it?

Matt-the-twat said:
Fight club was a good movie but to me it didn't have the effect of leaving anything with you after watching it like most great films do. You watch it, and you're done. Apart from anything the end scene where he shoots himself in the head but still lives is enough to annoy me to want to change it.
I respect the fact that you didn't like the ending, but I would like to know how you would change it?

Also when you said you didn't take anything away from it like most great films, what would be an example of a film you took something away from?

Oh I know this straight off.

I'd edit Pearl Harbour down to 90 minutes by removing all the extraneous 'deep and meaningful' love shit and keeping only the awesome bits.
