Yes, they moved away to Escape(irronnnnny) from the criticism of having a different opinion. What ever you do stay away from the politics section....they'll chew you up and spit you out....like they did me.
Several times over. This is why the Religion and Politics board entrance is halfway down the basement stairs.

I find it deliciously ironic that the overwhelming response on this thread from the community is "Tolerate"... Tolerance is one of the rarest things in this community's R&P forum.
You said it well my friend.

The whole time I have been here I have never even moved my mouse over the link to that board.

And I also learned to stay away from the advice forum. No fun allowed there. I came here to ESCAPE dammit.
find a group, they'll let you Escape!
yeah, i did. But the only one that I actively check out is the japanese music group. I like the forum games thing though. Even though the escapist peoples do not want to separate it from the RP >.<
how can they :{}

Huh, people are still posting here? I finished up my project a while back so don't need any more replies to the survey. Though thanks to all of you for being so helpful :D. Seems like I missed a pretty nice conversation that got started here.

2. "Marriage" shouldn't be a legal term. That is, the government should not legalize gay marriage, nor should it outlaw it. The government should not define marriage.
3. I don't care, so neutral.

Well what can you do? I mean the moment you start going right wing or conservative here is the moment you brand yourself as flame bait. It gets old fast.

1) Male, from the US.

2) Agree. Although I'm probably leaning more towards indifferent because this really doesn't affect me or anyone I know for the time being. It might sound shallow but I wouldn't go out of my way to fight for gay rights. If gays get the right to legal marriage, then yeehaw. If they don't, I think I'll find a way to manage.

3) Neutral. As long as the current societal stigmas towards homosexual couples are in place, then kids would have a harder, not impossible but still hard, time fitting in with other people. Of course I guess you could argue that it's still loads better than being an orphan so I could lean either way. Hence the neutrality.

It's gotten old several times over. And it was born looking like Benjamin Button.

It's even more disconcerting how this is one of the more conservative forums I frequent...

That's where I will stand if asked. But in all reality...

Disagree

Call me a homophobe or whatever else but I don't really like it.

But then again who am I to tell others what to do with their lives?

So Neutral Neutral

I guess the word is tolerance; don't like it but 'whatever'

I feel that you should be asked if you're gay or not first, other wise you could have it biased.

Hey, just by giving birth, you are doing irrapable harm to your kids. And like the old saying goes, what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. I'm of mixed race and there are people who believe I should be screwed up because I lack an clearly defined ethnic identity or whatever. But I have a solid home life, a university education, great friends, a wonderful boyfriend, a good paying job and an all round pretty awesome life. I will go on record to say, while it hasn't been perfect, I have had an easier time of it them most. I did suffer through an identity crisis when I was a teenager and OH MY GOD IT HAS TO BE BECAUSE I'M BIRACIAL BECAUSE THAT ALMOST NEVER HAPPENS. You're worried gay couple shouldn't adopt children because they will get teased? Children of straight parents get teased mercilessly all the time, in fact much much more so then children of gay parents (see what I did there?). People tend to exagerate the negative impact things will have on children (just look at the video game debate). Seriously, never underestimate the power of a happy home life, and as long as gay parents provide that for their children things will turn out fine. Great even. Those who disagree with me are not stupid, necessarily, but just try seeing the issue more objectively.
Well, I'm biracial aswell, and I do get teased sometimes by my friends, (I do live in south Texas, so it wasnt unexpected). So, while I am half Korean, and live a great life, my friend who has two lesbian parents gets made fun of and insulted on a day to day basis to the point where she breaks down into tears. I don't know too much about her home life, but I assume it's a good one, but on occasions she even says that she wishes she had other parents, which absolutely breaks my heart... The point I'm trying to make is that some children with gay parents live a great life, but there are also some kids that are teased and scarred on a day to day basis because of it.

That said, I would like our society to redefine marriage as an entirely religious and/or personal matter, having no bearing on financial, legal, or political matters. No special rights for the co-dependent!
