While I tend to agree with the OP, I'm not going to rant and rave at someone's spelling/grammer/acronyms etc.
While it may be annoying, I recognise that many people online aren't of English-speaking descent, making English their second or even third language. Remember that some people find it hard to convey arguments fluently in another language, and sometimes will use "internet slang" to help them demonstrate their point. I'm sure theres others (I know some) who have learnt English purely through the net and online games (notable MMO's), and will sometimes consider the acronyms and mispellings the norm.
It's rather arrogant to judge someone's language skills when they can communicate in more than two languages and I cannot. As long as I can understand what it is they're trying to say, it's fine by me.
