I find this beyond vile and beyond sick, I find this to be the work of someone who is utterly demented.
A friend posted this on Facebook, and as you can imagine, the hate ensued. Some even took it as far as saying that "we should exterminate all yellow people for being sick bastards".

A few months ago, there was a case of a teenage girl (not of legal age, though) throwing newborn puppies in a river, laughing and gloating about it on the internet. She even posted a video on Youtube.
I can't quite remember what country it happened in, but it was in one of the former Yugoslavian republics.
The police, if I remember correctly, did nothing, as she was still a minor.

Dear Escapists, I want to hear your honest opinion about such events. If there was anything you could do about this, what would you do? Do you deem such persons worthy of being tortured themselves?

And I think that girl that chucked those pups into a river was from Bosnia, but I'm not sure, and I think she got arrested. Again not sure.
But this does sound disgusting. I won't click it.

Well, if I could find the people who did these things, I think I might have been inclined to kill them. I'm not all that full of mercy towards people who abuse small animals. Particluarly not at half past eleven in the evening.

Ah yes, thank you. She is from Bugojno, a small town in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
I'll try to dig up the article about her, although I do believe she was not arrested simply for being a minor.

As for the link, it's not really graphic and gory like Left 4 Dead 2 or something, it's just very messed up.

Well, just so you know, I didn't actually sit at my computer and watch the whole thing. When it got to "the business", I stopped the video.
I have to say, your statement was very well put. I, too, love beheading zombies. In fact, whenever/if technology improves to the point of extensive, very real and very visual simulations, the first thing I'd do would be to put myself in a zombie game.

Okay, a couple of points of clarification for the uninformed:

1. There's a lot of xenophobia here, particularly towards Asians (Chinese and Japanese specifically), but the first recorded "crush" films were in the United States, and the phenomenon was at one point so wide-spread that there's actually the U.S. congress passes statute banning them. There have also been incidents in the United Kingdom, which prompted a similar ban. So cut out the racism people, it's a world-wide phenomenon and it originated in the West, not the East.

2. I didn't watch the videos, because I have had the misfortune to see one of these before, and it left me in a cold rage for a whole day. The core of this fetish is power over the powerless, specifically an abuse of power that leads to painful death. There is research linking this sort of fetish with rape and child abuse, and there is a quite compelling argument that producing or watching this sort of thing should merit an automatic listing on a sex offender database as these individuals are in the high risk category as rapists and pedophiles.

3. Note that I made a distinction in the last paragraph. I said, "producing or watching". The women involved in making most of these films (barring self-produced ones like the puppy killer) are mostly paid to do it, and may be just as disgusted as you or I, but need the money. These women are not willing participants, but rather are being forced into making these films as a result of their economic circumstances, and as such I don't hold them accountable and don't approve of the man-hunt launched in China, it's targetting the women rather than the person behind the camera, the producers and the consumers. These are the people who are most at fault. I would certainly advocate some sort of reprimand for the women involved, but only if a much greater punishment was meted out on the producers and consumers.

You tell everyone about the first part of it, the bad part, but you never mention the other half, and you knew about it as well.

This just makes it worse for you, I don't agree with her, and her apology seems a bit sketchy, even then you still should include it. No one's gonna read about the second part if you don't mention it, and you made it really clear that you don't want people to click the link, limiting the amount of people that'll see the related article. Saying that "It's in the related" isn't really good enough. If you want to make a discussion around the topic, then provide as much information in the op as you can.
