A race of people is a people connected by a close, common heritage. Romany gypsies fit the bill.

And I'll take it that you're a racist out of spite then, because no one admits to having moronic prejudices and then just runs with them anyway.
The Romani are an ethnic group and not a race. There is a big difference between race, ethnic group and nationality. There are exactly four races: Australoid, Caucasian, Mongoloid and Negroid. I'm not bashing on you, I just want to get some terminology straight.
Well then you should probably contact the people who write the Oxford Dictionary.

"a group of people sharing the same culture, history, language, etc.; an ethnic group:
we Scots were a bloodthirsty race then"

"a group or set of people or things with a common feature or features:
some male firefighters still regarded women as a race apart"

I have one, I think I can't really be sure, but for the most part my family is tolerant of other races.
Homosexuals on the other hand, well, I know for certain that I have no problems with them...

I guess every family has some bigots that hate something.

My dad always sat down at the table, and while he was cutting the turkey he used to say to me, "I love cutting turkeys. I pretend it's a darkie and I get chopping." He also referred to Precious as the feel good comedy of the year. That said, I don't think he was racist. Some of his best friends were black, before they all mysteriously stabbed themselves and got buried under our back garden.
The last part was a joke right?...
Also-I laughed at the first part because it seemed like a good joke but if they are serious then it's racism I guess...

PS: Is it racist to laugh at racist jokes? Even if you don't share the opinions but just believe they are funny

My family is marginally racist. Tis not blacks they hate, but those stererotypical ones everyone but stereotypicals ones despise. The kind of blokes that would kill you for a quarter whilst wearing their pants arond their ankles, and Al Sharpton sort of fellows.

Me, I hate the stereotypes of people (like illegal Mexican immigrants, mesa no like how American everything is turning Spainish to accomodate those that shouldn't be here in the first place), but not individuals. I used to really hate black stereotypes, but after being around one (at a friend's house), I got over that nonsense. I still hate the stereotypical ones as a whole, but not individuals.

It is an amazing feeling, talking to someone who you thought was different and learning how similar you really are. Everyone points out the things we have different, so when we meet someone new the first thing we do is pick out the difference. We fail to notice our similarities. The media always does what it can to provoke hate and seperation amongst us, but we are all humans with hearts, minds, livers, and lungs. We all bleed, sleep, and we all could see the whole for what it is. A big ball of rock floating around the sun. We are all orbiting the sun together.

every german is a racist. why? the german government failed hard, they let millions of immigrants in our country. that's normally no problem, the problem is, most of them come to germany to get money from the state. they can live in germany without doing anything, and the state gives them apartments and money. it's called "hartz 4".

i'm not against jews, and i'm not against working immigrants. i'm only against immigrants who live a great life without doing anything. germans pay taxes to finance the lifes of lazy immigrants. that's not fair.

Well The Oxford Dictionary certainly doesn't mention race in the "gipsy" page. If your point of view was correct it would mean that every nationality is a race on it's own. Also one race can contain many nationalities and a nationality can contain many ethnic groups.
And?

If I called the French a bunch of frog-fucking pompous pricks then I'm being racist (that's not indicative of my personal opinion by the way xD ); it's not linked solely to skin colour.

It depends on what group of races you're looking at, but Romany gypsies are still a race.

The definition is right there. The link can be any number of things.

No, you would be francophobic. I think that's more closely related to Xenophobia.

I gave you two fucking definitions from one of the most reputable dictionaries on the planet, I think it's safe to say you're clutching.

The distinction is not solely based on skin colour.

And yes, it is xenophobia. It's also racism.

My mom doesn't like Muslims. Or gays.

Seriously, she told my brother's gay friend that she hopes "God will set him free".

Show her a couple of things to show how closely related Islam and Christianity (I'm just assuming she's a Christian, since it's most likely I guess) - should give you a laugh at any rate.

Not so much, really. My mom's side of the family is hispanic, but my Dad's side of the family is pure Irish.

Basically, when they get together it's more, "How 'bout that government? Aren't they terrible?" than, "How 'bout that ? Aren't they terrible?"

Then again, I don''t know everything about everyone in my family, so who knows?

My dad is a cop and he's racist. He is black but just seems to hate everyone else. Me I have just personal dislikes of stereotypes that certain groups perpetuate.
Yep, my dad was a racist cop as well. Well, retired cop now, but still in the business of racism. Guess they just see the worst in people because of their jobs.

Anyways, everyone is racist to an extent. Everyone has their bias's. If you say you don't, then you're lying. That being said, some are more severe than others.

My Grandad reads the Daily Mail. Do I need to go on?
I read the daily mail i'm not a racist.......... Go on
You read the Daily Mail. You are racist. It's fairly simple.
I have no quarrels with other races religions or lifestyles. My Mum's job requires her to not be racist, my dad doesn't read Daily Mail and is racist................ Your logic isn't making any sense
