Is this game gonna have any story/dialog choices/rpg elements to it ?

Or is it just shooting guy after guy after guy the whole time ?
Rage will also feature some role-playing game (RPG) elements
Yep.

looks incredibly boring.

assault rifle after assault rifle after assault rifle after assault rifle after assault rifle... ITS SO BLAND!!!
why would you make a game that (on the face of it) is so similar to borderlands, but worse?

bloody screen instead of a health bar... im disappointed... you cant make smart decisions with a bloody screen, with a health bar you can gauge what kind of danger youre in...
also, did anyone notice that the turret literally fell out of his pocket and set itself up... and proceeded to be absolutely useless...
...and did anyone even look at the characters? i didnt...

this game just looks... bland.

It doesn't look all that bad but then again it doesn't look all that great either.

Probably be one I wait to hit the bargain bin.

Unless i'm completely wrong and it ends up being fantastic in which case i'll eat my words (not literally, i'm not taking a bite out of my monitor).

There's a great behind the scenes series about RAGE that does the game a lot more justice than this. Explains a lot more about the animations, graphical technology, general gameplay, world building, enemy AI, gameplay variation, all that stuff. Thanks to those I actually got interested in this game. Below I got one example, and there's about 6 or so of them.

The devs already explicitly stated that they want to avoid such repetition. It's around the 1:45 mark in this vid:

So...does that video mean that the game has split screen coop?

I would think so, and hope so. In today's console gaming world you almost have to have coop, Deus Ex and BioShock are pretty lonely as far as selling copies without it. And it is fun.

Those limb damage animations look pretty good, but watch the original video again and youll notice how little you see it. Additionally, that heavy enemy thats takes down one player while surviving a full round of boring-AR and 3-4 shotgun shots never reacted to the shots.

The bandits that flip down behind you could be interesting, everything else is something weve seen in borderlands... and while i do like fighting the crimson lance, the fact that they take cover and use shields is not the reason for this. the reason i liked fighting them is because i get to melt them.

What kept me interested in borderlands when the burning/melting/brain-exploding wore off is the fact that the characters are all individual, in both personality and play style, and you could play them in a number of ways. Focusing on health and shield regeneration whilst running into enemy fire screaming and punching everyone down as a berserker was great fun. Focussing on elemental damage and simultaneously shocking, poisoning and setting people on fire (not often using any guns), and just watching their health drop as a siren, also fun.
This game in all its seriousness cannot offer that, and it will always be assault rifle after assault rifle after assault rifle after assault rifle after assault rifle after assault rifle after assault rifle after assault rifle after assault rifle after assault rifle no matter how the enemy reacts in the split second before he dies, no matter how the enemy reveals himself to you, how he charges directly at you or where he takes cover. boring, old assault rifle.
...oh, and a slightly less boring shotgun, sniper rifle and pistol thing if you feel like underpowering yourself.
