I don't ragequit, but I do quit if the match is hopelessly in the enemy's favor, like the other day I was playing the Bad Company 2 demo, my team was about as useful as an autistic kid with a super soaker.

I never ragequit. It is dishonorable.

In fact in Halo 3 if you decide to quit you'll get a message saying something like:

Do you really want to quit?

B- No, I will finish with honor

A- Yes, I am a coward!
That is rather annoying though when you actually have to quit to go somewhere and can't play for 5 more minutes.
But if you had to go somewhere, why would not being able to play for 5 minutes be a problem?
Because you already pulled the "5 more minutes" thing on your parents?

I mainly rage-quit if my teammates are douchebags who refuse to heal me, defend the objective. Or if they team kill me every time I get in the tank/use the sniper rifle.

Or, the occasional Halo match where everyone on my team leaves on me, and its me vs 5 people. That's just a waste of time.

I feel like I'm not getting anywhere in a match, I leave. If I'm not having fun, I leave. If I decide to leave and go have fun, that makes me a coward?

I try not to rage quit, instead I direct my rage at the enemy via shotgun, grenade, flamethrower etc.
I only really do it when I'm on a team that is beyond help and has been for several rounds, usually they get better via team balancing, but when they don't I just just jump to a different server.

TBH I prefer making people rage quit, its fun :)

I've quit in the middle of a MW2 match once (as far as I remember). Reason being that I was having an off day and had no kills. Figured someone else could join and actually help the team.

I don't know if that was a "ragequit" but I wasn't feeling angry at the other team, just myself.

Wow, that match was waaay out of my league.

OT: I don't rage quit; I rage throw my controller at my couch. After I lose, of course. And even that doesn't happen unless someone decides to be really stupid and use 2 moves and ONLY 2 moves. THEY WEREN"T EVEN COMBOS, DAMNIT! I WILL KILL YOU ONE DAY, ASUKA KAZAMA! MARK MY WORDS!

Ahem.
Online or off? Not much of a Tekken player but I heard the AI is a pain.

Yeah, 100% success rate my ass you cheating dick.
They need to have a penalty system for quitting. Though it might have a flaw if you quit because you had to go, I still want a penalty system for quitting.
Online. The AI just takes some getting used to and a lot of practice. The unholy humans that dwell within the ranked matches, on the other hand...

well My brother has had that problem countless times on MW2 and swears up a storm. It pisses me off. I'm usually sitting here commenting on threads, and he is like "GOD fuuucking Dammit!!"

I lulz a bit, but then it gets annoying really really quickly.

To avoid rage quitting and generally dissuade it a certain thing could be implemented by developers.

If someone ragequits or looses connection their char is taken over (invisibly for the other players) for the duration of the round/fight/match/whatever and it counts as if they have lost or they get the deaths of the ai added to their rank.

This method would work in some types of games, but it could result in you playing against bots online unwillingly.

Rage-quitting is a pathetic thing, and not tactically smart if you are on the losing end. Doesn't anyone read The Art of War anymore?
If fighting is sure to result in victory then you must FIGHT!

Sun Tsu said that... and I'd say he knows a little more about fighting than YOU DO PAL because he INVENTED IT... and then he PERFECTED IT until NO living man could BEST him in the ring of honour.

Then he used his fight money to buy TWO of every animal on earth. Then he herded them onto a BOAT... and then he beat the crap out of every single one of them.

And that's why any time a group of animals are together in one place it's called a ZOO!

UNLESS IT'S A FARM.
I was like "Wtf is this guy on..." then right when you said "Herded onto a boat" I started knowing what it was, then I just laughed and laughed.

Thanks for making my day better.

OT: I don't ragequit.

But I do rage.

I will make you cry if you do a shit job on Domination in MW2. Like seriously. I've made two 12 and younger cry, and I made a 12 grader cry.

I made my best friends little brothers cry in the game.

We don't play MW2 together anymore.

(I am really trying to stop, but Domination is such an easy gametype to win, I have no reason to)

Analog style! Totally classic move is to realize you can't win in a game of Magic, and mana burn yourself to death. Ahh...good times.

Eh, it won't load. Probably my computer.

It's a bit like getting stuck in the middle of a hurricane, but the hurricane is made of PAIN.

If I'm losing, I keep going, If I'm not having fun, I quit and let the poor idiots sort it out themselves, there is no reason I have to persist playing a game where I do not have fun.

I know a guy who, every time i back-stab him and sap his stuff in tf2, he immediately goes spectator to stop me from getting points.

Wouldn't be so annoying if I didn't play with him frequently.

I remember someone like that in the Xbox version. I sent him a negative player request and never found him again.

If I join a game of demolition on MW2 where it is the last ten seconds of the game(it happens a lot to me), I quit simply because I don't want to choose my class and then BOOM, waiting for 50 seconds.

Also on fighting games like street fighter 4, say there's a guy as Ken spanning shoryuken and literally nothing else, I'll just be like "fuck this" and quit, because it's the move spammers that do not deserve a victory.

I hate spammers. Not as much as that ragequitter though
