In a lot of online games, you win some, you lose some. You have your off days, you have your best days. But...when you have your good days, your opponent decides that you don't deserve a victory and quits. Or if you're beating someone and your opponent get's mad and decides to rage quit. Or, if a tactical nuke is launched and you see a lot of players leaving because of it only to still get a loss, but losing the exp gained from that match. So...Have any of you rage quit before or made someone rage quit? If so...how did you feel?

I never ragequit. It is dishonorable.

In fact in Halo 3 if you decide to quit you'll get a message saying something like:

Do you really want to quit?

B- No, I will finish with honor

A- Yes, I am a coward!

When me, IdealistCommi, theNumber1Zero and Demented Teddy were playing L4D2 versus mode on sunday, we were beating the other teams by so much consistently that they kept leaving on the second to last chapter, so the server shuts down and we are denied our win.

That happened 3 out of the 4 games we played.

There's a lesson here. Don't play ranked matches! The ranks have no meaning besides comparing E-Penises!

I never ragequit either, if I lost, then I lost fair and square...usually, and hopefully I can learn from it. Especially with fighting games, I can see how they might not want to get more losses on their player record or what not, but seriously?? Just learn from your mistakes.

I did however make an Akuma ragequit on SF4 over the weekend, after I whooped his butt with my Cammy =P

I never leave a match, Mainly because I don't like it when someone leaves a match I am winning.

Cowards need to accept god damn defeat.

Wow, that guy is a sore loser, but that was quite the epic comeback you had.

I haven't rage quitted... not to my knowledge. I mean, I've quit when I've been losing fuckloads, but never because of that. I only quit when I stop having fun, makes sense really.

I remember getting that. I laughed when I found out it was real.

Wish most games had that.

I've never rage quit. Not once.

Accept your defeats kids! That way, you become stronger.

I hate it when people do it in discussions online as well. You just get into a grove and whittle the person down to an amicable compromise of viewpoints, and then they just go and fuck off!

Have they no integrity?
Exactly. I lost a few times but you learn from them.
I don't think so Furburt.

I did that a few times on L4D on the xbox with friends. Though I heard that L4D2 will have bots.

Sadly. It's easier to find someone in Ranked then Free battle. I've recorded 43(43rd in spoiler) matches and only 6 free battles.

Exactly. When I lose, I lose. I won't quit.

I have rage quit before, but not to deny a victory to somebody. That's just pansey assed. I usually only do it on singleplayer games and if it is multuiplayer it's usually in a game like TF2 with lots of others involved so it won't really matter.

I quit if the other team is glitching, take that, bitches!

That, or if it lags, social life attacks, I have to pee, etc.

Exactly. If a team is playing a cheap game, like using the unholy trinity of Marathon/Lightweight/Commando, grenade spamming, or glitching in MW2, I see no reason to play to the end just to give them the satisfaction of a victory that wasn't earned. I want it to be empty, meaningless, and hollow.

Rage-quitting is a pathetic thing, and not tactically smart if you are on the losing end. Doesn't anyone read The Art of War anymore? If you don't learn everything you can about your enemies, how are you ever going to get better?
I don't play online games because of rage-quitters or the *****-aholics that complain for 5-10 minutes after a match if they lose. I find it strange that in this politically correct culture where no child can lose in a school-based activity that this hasn't translated over to video games yet. I'm not in favor of the idea, but I'm sure it isn't an original idea at this point.

If you don't like the odds of you losing at a game, don't compete. Simple as that.

I made a few people rage quit in MW 2 because I was running around knifing and they were convinced that I was somehow hacking, my score didn't help much. Also in League of Legends, when I play a character I am good with and start to go on killing sprees, people just quit complaining that the team they are with is n00b and that they are good. Its dumb, why not stay and get your bonus instead of being a *****?
