That would actually be incorrect, if a goliath spider was the size of a human, it would barely be able to move itself and would easily be overpowered by a human. Rule of all nature (biology, physics, etc): when you double the size, the strength in relation to its size is cut in half.Fruhstuck said:if the goliath spider were the same size as a human it could hold the force of a 747 jet engine without moving
(a) you need to state the pressure as well.Fruhstuck said:the tri-point of water is 0.1 degrees C
I was thinking the same thing.LaughingTarget said:That would actually be incorrect, if a goliath spider was the size of a human, it would barely be able to move itself and would easily be overpowered by a human. Penguins of Madagascar, strangely amusing show.MrNades said:Without mucus your stomach would digest itself.

However I believe he meant if the spider's strength was to grow in relaton to its increased size.
lol I knew someone would catch that.LaughingTarget said:Penguins of Madagascar, strangely amusing show.MrNades said:Without mucus your stomach would digest itself.
Strange and uncalled for, but it is supportive of my argument either way.Lukeje said:Suiseiseki IRL said:However I believe he meant if the spider's strength was to grow in relaton to its increased size.
...it seemed appropriate...
Ermm... I don't think there's any evidence to suggest that 0K is possible...j0z said:0 degrees Kelvin is the lowest temperature possible, since there is absolutely no heat energy left in the molecules. Plus, some substances exhibit strange properties when they reach close to 0K, such as superconductivity.
