Call of duty 4 (or 6 I suppose): Expect someone to be around every corner. Don't go into aim mode unless you actually see someone, it's more accurate and aim assist will move your reticule in their direction.

Always keep your eye on the objective. Even if things are going to hell, you can still come out on top by completing it.

RPG MMO Advice: Don't AFK in the open, just don't. Some random thing is going to pop and start cutting down your lifespan.

LFD2: "Hey guys can we do the achievement where you don't piss off the witch?" Sure bud but how about you turn off your flashlight now that were actually near her.

ODST Fire fight: When black eye is on it doesn't mean you hide in a corner and wait for the rest of us to kill them all just go melee a grunt to get your shield back.

ODST Fire Fight: HELP KILL THE TURTLE SNAKE! It makes it so much easier.

When playing Modern Warfare or Modern Warfare 2 online:
1. ALWAYS keep your eyes open
2. Check your corners
3. Aim down the sights
4. Accuracy is important
5. Never underestimate the power of a silenced weapon
6. Call out enemy locations

Grand Theft Auto IV: If you need to shake the cops, hurry along to a mission start point. You'll be immediately absolved of all of your stars.

Any game with AI companions: Assume your 'partners' aren't actually there. This saves you from thinking you can actually depend on them. Pretend there a hallucination brought on by some disease.

Splinter Cell: Conviction.

1. A brilliant place for "3x" challenges and the like is just after you've infiltrated White Box. The security room has three guards in. You can tag them from under the door and climb the pipe to drop your chosen gadget in.

2. For Advanced Stealth, you could always be a douche and have a friend take you through a Hunter mission, but if you HAVE a spine Kobin's Mansion is the easiest I've found. That or do a hunter mission on your own. Apparently to get the challenge you cant melee any enemies. Bollocks. I melee'd most of them, and still got it. Heck, I was detected for a split second and I still got it.

3. In CO-OP, if your partner is downed, use an EMP gadget to stun enemies nearby BEFORE trying to heal him. That way you won't be gunned down, and you can eliminate any enemies in the way in relative safety.

4. Don't shoot every light you can see. On realistic enemies can sometimes work out your position from that one shot. Also, regardless of difficulty, it puts them on alert, which makes it infinitely harder to kill them all.

By memorizing the locations of the buttons on the controller, you no longer have to look at your hands while fighting a boss.

In poke'mon, when you start in your room go over to the computer and collect the potion from it; makes the first battle easier.

MW2: Use the goddamn radar.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising: Always use semi-auto if it's available, or short controllable bursts, if not. I swear that the weapons deal less damage when they are set to fully auto.

Dead Space: if you're wondering how to kill something, aim for the yellow pods.

Fallout 3: Becoming over-encumbered is your biggest enemy, pack light.
