Ranking the Assassin's Creed games?

I'll be honest, I don't own an Assassin's Creed game I only borrowed/rented them and even than I only played 3 of the, Beaten AC 1 and 2, only scratched the surface of Brotherhood.

So I am curious on how much I missed since Assassin's Creed Brotherhood by asking anyone here who follows this franchise how do you rank the games so far in its entirety from Top Best to Bottom Worst?

So far I have seen 4 listed as the best, but that is because 4 is barely an Assassin's Creed game, its Pirate Ship Simulator. What's the best Assassin's Creed game thats about....being an Assassin?

To be honest I made this thread because I watching Rageaholic's reviews on the games and knowing that AC Origins came out I wonder how's the ranking of best to worse games are now?

4, Liberation, 2, 1, Revelations, 3. Haven?t played the rest. There is a trade off between rubbish feature creep and keeping the game fresh, most of them fail. I like Liberation because of the whole costume mechanic, which on one hand lets you blend in like a proper assassin should, and on the other creates a clever dilemma around the fact that the protagonist is a black female assassin and so will never fit in to polite society; dress as an assassin and you immediately look suspicious to guards, dress as a slave and people will bully you, dress as a lady and you can?t move properly and blokes try to mug you.

Best Halo Game: Halo 2 followed by Reach.

Best Resident Evil Game: Remake, Zero, and Outbreak are tied for me.

Best Gears of War game: 2, best Campaign.

I wish I played Command and Conquer.

Sonic has plenty of good games.

I would prettymuch agree with Black Flag being the best game to bear the name, but not a particularly good Assassins Creed game.

I'm going to disqualify #2 on the basis of being released with the middle cut out (Blatantly, and unapologetically at that) for DLC. If that doesn't particularly bother you, throw it in at #3.

So with whats left of the ones I've played

4. Assassin's Creed 3
5. Chronicles : China
6. Revelations
7. Unity.

Skipped Brotherhood (see aforementioned annoyance with 2, and before mu reviewing gig that ended up with me playing Revelations, lol), never ended up picking up Rogue either.


For other random series, I'll do probably my all time favorite, Ultima

Haven't played Syndicate yet(I have it, but I haven't gotten around to it yet) and I refuse to plop down cash for Unity, even if I really, really want to traipse around Paris during the Revolution. I'll pick up Origins when it's cheaper.

If we're ranking DLC content, The King Washington one for 3 was amazing for it's level of crazy. Even the borderline offensive stuff(Magical Native American Magical Powers) is overshadowed by George Washington with a Laser Staff living in a Illumnati-equse golden Pyramid.

I guess I don't love the AC games as much as I think I do. I didn't even finish the Ezio trilogy. Either that or I just have less and less available time and deep down I know the games are all pretty much the same so I use that time for something else. Anyway.

Black Flag was the only one I ever finished, it was a fun pirate game which unfortunately came with the Ass Creed name attached to it. I liked 2 until I got bored of it. Brotherhood lasted about 2 hours before I got bored of it. I haven't played any of the others.
