They could shoot the gun from his hands. Not sure if our marksmen are pr0 enough for that though :p

Of course, they could if they wanted to, but they won't because they are more sensible than that. I think I know just how its going to end. In a few hours, he will get tired and give in. Then go to prison for a few decades :D

That's who. Actually not anyone important, except to the people he affected in the past week, but the media do like to make a big fuss about these things ... even if they probably shouldn't [http://www.independent.co.uk/opinion/commentators/johann-hari/johann-hari-did-the-media-help-to-pull-the-trigger-2020927.html].
That may be one of the most interesting articles I've ever read. Thank you.

Yeah, there's no point in risking it. May as well just sit tight and wait for him to decide he would rather live after all. I'm sure all concerned will be glad to see him behind bars. Although for how long it's hard to say...

I know I asked in the other thread but I need to ask here.

Why has Gazza showed up at the scene with beer?

Because idiot is as idiot does.

Wish the police'd just shoot the loony and save us paying for his stay in prison for the next 30 years or so...

He has given me a FANTASTIC idea for a new TV program!

"I am a celebrity, get me to an armed seige!"

What could be more fun than watching washed-up has-beens dodging bullets and trying to talk to deranged maniacs with guns?

That is utterly bizarre. A fishing rod and some chicken? Really?

Wow.

Mr. Moat has caused quite a stir in the British news over the last week. Glad they've closed in on him, the guys not well. Much as I love people fighting the police/wasting their time, those police are people too and have families and friends that care about them.

I also find it hilarious that sky news is covering the whole thing. They've lapsed into talking for the sake of talking because NOTHING IS HAPPENING. Only in fuckin' Britain I tell you...

Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way...

Watching this, it all seems a bit futile. My money is on him killing himself, police want him alive and he doesn't want to go down .. unless he ops for police assisted suicide.

This whole situation is a perfect example of how fucked up 24 hour rolling news is! Can't wait till either he or the cops ventilate him!

There was me thinking he'd killed 3 people and was waiting for his UAV.

He's just an attention seeking loon really.

Well, I called that one wrong, way wrong XD
Look like the silly fucker shot himself. At this point, its no great loss if he dies. Maybe save the taxpayer a wee bit of money on his prison sentence

True dat. Although the follow up investigations by the Independent Police Complaints Commission and the like will be costing taxpayers too, so even in death he's managed to be an inconvenience.

That video was fucking awesome. How did he do that without blowing the dude's hand of?
Probably quite easily. The bullets in the handgun would only go off if the primer cap was somehow struck, so I'm guessing as long as they had good enough aim to shoot the gun itself there probably wasn't that much to be worried about.

Just checked the news, it was confirmed 5 minutes ago that Moat has "received a gunshot wound and was receiving treatment".
Yaah, he shot himself according to the BBC at about 0115 BST, and was pronounced dead in hospital at 0220 BST on Saturday.

It looks like your article is worryingly accurate, take a look at this:

Raoul Moat is dead motherfuckers. Crisis over. I know someone who lives a street away from the original shootings. Scary stuff.
