Rarest game I have lying around is a mint big boxed copy of System Shock 2. Doubt it goes for much though these days!
Still haven't played that game *hint hint*.
As much as I would like to...I'm keeping it for my gaming bucket list, yes you read that right I have a list of games to replay before I die.
If only Steam had it... *sighs*

The rarest things I think I have are the Gameboy Printer and Gameboy Camera along with a clear Gameboy Classic.

Oh, I also have a Sega Nomad (portable Genesis). Most people don't even know they existed.

I have a copy of the obscure N64 game "Rocket: Robot on Wheels" as well as the original Paper Mario cartridge.

Persona 3 and 4, Shadow Of the colossus and Silent Hill 2 and 3 are probably the rarest games I own, although Shadow hearts is heard to get hold of and I've got Final Fantasy VI lying around somewhere.

*checks ebay* well, apparently if I sold all those I'd get about £150. Not too bad.

I have a few rare PS1 and PS2 games, but untimately, I haven't been collecting long enough to have a big-bucks game. I have an Atlus game, those are always going to be rare, and I have a few jap-to-US games that sell pretty high here because of how they were marketed (Bundle packs). But honestly, I don't see why a game needs to be rare. Atlus ALWAYS makes their games limited thanks to their marketing campaign and releasing as few in the series as possible, but a game is simply data encoded on a disc. You would figure that the game companies would release a great number of a game and make more money.

AND I CAN'T FIND ICO ANYWHERE FOR A GOOD PRICE! DARN YOU RARE RELEASES!
you know what sucks. I stopped playing video games for about a 5 or 6 year period, (2004ish-last year) but one of the last games I bought prior to my sabbatical was a copy of ICO off of ebay for 10 dollars.

I no longer know where it is... I guarantee it's still at my mom's house somewhere.

Huh, is ICO pretty rare these days then? I still have a copy, in great condition, complete with the art postcards that came with it.

Might have to see how much they're going for on eBay... (EDIT: okay, not much. I'll keep hold of it then.)

Same with Shadow of the Colossus, looked around for half a year before I finally found it.
Really, when I heard about how much everyone loved it I went down to my local Gamestop scanned the rows of games till I found S and bout it for $15, and I'm pretty sure they still have a few copies in there too.
Lucky you don't live in the Netherlands. So many beautiful games released in such small numbers or not at all. I've found SotC a couple of times since, but it was usually British import (and stupidly expensive).

Nocturne would have to be the rarest game I have, that or Ar Tonelico. I spent months search for Nocturne and finally found my copy in some little hole in the wall game store, used for 20 bucks.
